If you are at the house, your eyes would be glued to the view; with all the windows, it is like watching a movie -- rainbows, fogs, mists, etc. Then, your eyes would marvel at the well thought out construction details in this beautiful house and the first class furnishings. You would feel pampered to be cocooned in all the opulent touches like the kitchen, the heated bathroom floors, a jacuzzi room, a sauna.......and you would feel happy to have Corlea House as your home while you are abroad. Our family thoroughly enjoyed being in Corlea House for a month; it is a first class house. Incredibly, what topped this beautiful house is getting to know Vincent and Mary who took such good care of us. They welcomed us with flowers and cake. They called and checked on us, gave us travel tips and lots of their time. Like my son said: "Having tea with Vincent and Mary is my highlight." You will enjoy meeting these good peple too! |

This home was the nicer than we could have imagined. We had 4 children under 12 and 4 adults. The layout was perfect, with all the kids upstairs. The gourmet kitchen was amazing and perfect for us. Going out to dinner each evening was not a good idea (all the kids), yet we all like to cook so the state of the art kitchen suited us wonderfully. Our hosts, Vincent and Mary were extremely friendly and helpful. Each morning we woke up to a herd of cows watching us from across the road. The view was beautiful and as a photographer, I had a wonderful time exploring the landscape. I will admit that the location was a bit secluded with it being a 25 minute drive to nearest town of Gort. But in Ireland with a large group, day trips were a necessity for seeing the country anyway. We really loved this house:) tip: don't bring US DVDs, they don't work in the Irish DVD player. bonus: the master shower is AMAZING! |
