The Sardinia region

Sardinia (Sardegna) is a large island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, between the Balearic islands and the Italian peninsula and south of Corsica. It is one of the regions of Italy.

The south area of Sardinia is still undiscovered and wild then the North of the island, come to discover the beautiful beaches of the east and west coast ! Sardinia, with its quintessential Mediterranean beauty, is mainly loved for swimming, boating, windsurfing, hiking, climbing, and camping, with coastal areas tending to become over touristed especially in the warmest month, August.

The inner life of the island away from the tourist spots takes longer to appreciate and requires you to peel away the layers of apparent Italianization. After all, the ancient Nuragic civilization of Sardinia of ca. 1500 BC, whose stone monuments still dot the land, predates even the Etruscan civilization in mainland Italy by several hundred years

Cagliari

Cagliari is known as "The City of Sun" so you must have a full relaxing day on the wonderful Poetto Beach. This 8 km beach will excite you and is perfectly equipped to satisfy every your wish. You can get here by buses PF, PQ, 3P, and 9P.

The beach is divided to the free parts and the beach clubs, the latter charging you with an entry fee but rent umbrellas, deck chairs, etc. for you. Prices are around €3/entry, about €12 for an umbrella, a deck chair and a sun bed. The club beaches clean the sand each night and provide you with showers and toilets.

Cagliari’s historic “old town” (Castello) has an appealing North African character. In the Castello district, the Romans and, later, Pisans, built defenses. You can linger at the various archaeological sites along the route, or visit the Cittadella dei Musei (the former royal arsenal). It houses several museums, including the Museo Nazionale Archaeologico. This museum has an extensive collection of Sardinian artifacts from the Nuraghic era to the Byzantine, ornaments from the Punic Phoenician Age, and impressive Roman glass works and mosaics. Also in the Cittadella dei Musei is the Pinacoteca, an art gallery which displays medieval and Baroque religious paintings

In this area you can play all kind of water sport, windsurf, surf, canoa, swimming, snorkeling or relaxing
