Caesarea is located on the Mediterranean coastal plain, and is half way between the major cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. The ancient ruins at the Caesarea port have become an important touristic site in Israel, with the amphitheatre hosting concerts regularly. Caesarea is a town in Israel on the outskirts of Caesarea Maritima, the ancient port city. It is located mid-way between Tel Aviv and Haifa (45km), on the Israeli Mediterranean coast near to the city of Hadera.
