The area offers a range of opportunities from traditional cultural events, historical exploration and heritage sites to outdoor activities and sightseeing which always prove popular with families, outdoor sports enthusiasts and also those just looking for peace and tranquillity.

Numerous visitor attractions include Snowdonia National Park. The popular seaside resort of Llandudno, several World Heritage sites like the stunning Caernarfon Castle and the impressive Pontcysyllte aqueduct designed by Thomas Telford, there is the Mediterranean styled village of Portmeirion, not to mention the many art galleries, studios, museums and theatres which form part of the rich cultural heritage of this amazing country.

Caernarfon

Snowdonia - 'Eryri' meaning 'the place of the eagles' in Welsh, is the perfect name for an area of such outstanding natural beauty. Over 838 square miles of some of the most magnificent scenery in Wales. Hauntingly beautiful, Snowdonia has evolved from a tapestry rich in history, culture and landscape that dates back to prehistoric, pagan times. There is always something new to explore among the peaks and the valleys of Eryri. With 100 lakes in Snowdonia National Park, 90 lofty mountain peaks, 37 miles of unspoiled coastline and picturesque beaches, moors and wetlands. A rainbow beetle and lily you won't find anywhere else on earth! Oh and not forgetting the tallest mountain in Wales! Snowdonia is a land of legend, majesty and breathtaking beauty fused together throughout this wild and romantic landscape.
