Cabo Roig, Costa Blanca. Two bed apartment with large shady balcony in small exclusive complex with communal pool and within short walk to nearby Cabo Roig blue flag beach. Also, nearby (one minute walk) are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes.
The apartment is ideal year round for a sun holiday and although a car can be nice to have it is by no means necessary. We've been happy with our kids splitting the day between the pool and later when the sun goes down a bit the nearby beach. The beach is really nice with a bar/cafe that serves good food and there are boats for hire. There are plenty of other beaches a few minutes drive away but our local beach is hard to stay away from.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The regional centre, Alicante, is a nice old town that's worth visiting.
The local big town is Torrevieja and this has a lovely promenade as well as good shopping and a fairground during the summer. There is a market once a week. There is also a large park with an excellent children's playground including a pond with paddle boats.
It's nice to go there in the evening and have a walk on the promenade, have a nice meal and then stop off in the park on the way home.
There is a water park in Torrevieja and lots of other sports attractions, including plenty of golf courses.
Just north of Alicante there is a seaworld that is great for kids.

Cabo Roig area

Plenty of beaches, shopping and restaurants in the neighourhood. There is a market down the road once a week. A really great place for a sun holiday.
The local Cabo Roig beach which is just a few minutes walk away is really good - there are other beaches nearby, all great, but this closest one probably beats them.
There is a really nice walk along the water at the bottom of our complex - especially at nightime.
There is an abundance of restaurants just around the corner, both local Spanish cuisine and everything besides.

How to get there

Fly to Alicante or Murcia, then about 40mins travel by road. Pickup can be arranged.
