Home description
White-washed unspoilt Spanish fishing village. No high-rises, No Clubs. No lager louts. This tis truly a beautiful and unique village in an unspoilt, undeveloped coast in Spain. Carboneras has a local village community feeling to it where everybody says hi to each other. It has its own festival days where locals light bonfires in the streets and beach and drink vino. The duplex has stunning views over the little harbour, beach and village. Early in the morning you will see the fishermen make their way out to sea from the terrace. There is a nude beach nearby (2km) which is nationally famous for its beauty , "playa de los meurtos", where it is claimed has the clearest waters anywhere in Spain. The water there is like crystal and is great for snorkeling. If you prefer to keep your clothes on, well, the beach right outside the property with its own "Cheriquito " (beach bar) is just as nice, and closer. There are many golf courses within a short drive and Granada, 3 hours away, is great for skiing in Winter. This whole coast line is protected for its natural beauty and is great for trekking and cycling. Mojacar is 30 mins drive away where there is a more touristy feel with English pubs and restaurants and night life. Mojacar village which is inland another 5 minutes and perches high on a hilltop. It too has its own unique character and definatly should be checked out. This property is ideal for those who want a quite holiday away from the noise and stresses of life. I you want sun, blue waters, and fresh sea breeze; perhaps a little golf and later traditionally cuisine in the evening then this place is for you. Hope you can make it here. Frank.

The Costa de Almeria region
Dry climate with sea breezes. All areas surrounding Carboneras is a natural protected park. Very scenic coastline with all development prohibited. Very mountainous region with roads winding their way around them with the sea on one side. Many cyclists and walkers travel this coast for its beauty.
Cabo de Gata / Carboneras area
Several Local festival days where the locals light many bonfires on the beach and also in the streets and drink wine. Market day is on every Friday. The "Beach of the dead" is 1 km away and is nationally famous for its natural beauty. Mojacar village is 40 min drive away and is a stunning village that sits on top of a steep mountain. Several Golf Resorts are nearby also. Carboneras boasts a brand new sporting complex also in the village.
How to get there
Fly into Almeria Airport. Take the motorway A7 towards Murcia. 35 minutes or so driving take the N-341 towards Carboneras. Continue on this road until you reach the coastline (a T- junction). Turn right towards the village. Continue 200 meters and the property is on the left. The building has wooden beams over the balconies.

Further details outdoors: The beach directly in front of the property has a small bamboo beach bar that you can sit down and drink sangria and eat tapas. The beach also has many volley ball courts. 100 yards away is a playground. 300 yards away is a bowling square and basketball court.
