This 3 bed apartment is in the picturesque fishing village of Cabanas in East Algarve. It has an unique outdoor space to the rear of the apartment with no split levels or balcony’s to worry about which makes this apartment ideal for those travelling with young children.
It has a comfortable size dining/sitting area with flat screen TV and Sky. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern conveniences to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
It is close to all amenities - seafront, pubs, restaurants & shops just 2 minutes walk away.
Cabanas is made up of a kernel of backstreets of pretty fishermen's houses and a line of low rise shops, cafes and bars facing the world famous Ria Formosa.
Cabanas ts just 6km East of Tavira and most travel guides rate Tavira as one of the prettiest towns in the Algarve.
Cabanas is ideally suited to those looking for a relaxing get away from it all type of holiday - if you need to unwind this is the place to do it - it will suit those travelling with a young family or couples looking for a quite break. Its all very flat - no steep roads/hills to climb! Like most places in the Algarve Cabanas is perfect for those wishing to take in a game of golf as its just 5 minutes drive from the N125 which gives easy access to any of the excellent Golf Courses in the Algarve. The World famous Monte Rea Golf Course is just 15 minutes drive from the apartment.
The beach in Cabanas is fantastic - white gold fine sand and gently sloping entry to the sea. The seafront is just 50 metres from this property and to boat taxi to bring you to the secluded beach.
There are a number of highly rated restaurants in Cabanas with seafood and fish a speciality as well as enough small shops to keep you going.
There is a train station just as you arrive into Cabanas - approx 10 minutes walk from this property - and the train travels right across the Algarve, both East towards Spain and Westwards which will give you access to towns such as Lagos, Albufaria, Faro, Olho etc.

The summer months see high temperatures that attract the beach-goers and sun-lovers from around the world, and with it's world-renowned beaches of fine golden sand spanning the coast-line in front of the calm, clear seas, the Algarve is a European paradise for sun-seekers.
With more hours of sunshine than California and only short periods of rainfall, generally between November and March, the Algarve has the perfect weather and climate for tourism.
The maximum temperatures in the Algarve fluctuate between 15°C and 31 °C, with the temperature never falling below zero in the winter months.

BRIEF HISTORY
There were Phoenician trading ports in the Algarve three thousand years ago, and the Carthaginians founded Portus Hanibalis, modern Portimão, in the sixth century BC.
The Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula in the second century BC took in the Algarve, and there are important Roman remains in Lagos.
The Visigoths took the area in the fifth century, being expelled by the Moors in 716. It was the latter who named the region Al-Gharb , the country of the west, and they occupied it for longer than any other part of Portugal.
Alfonso III finally took the Algarve from the Moors in 1250 (so completing the reconquest of Portugal).
In the fifteenth century, Henry the Navigator used the Algarve as the jumping-off point for the voyages of discovery which laid the foundations of the Portuguese Empire. He established an important school of navigation at Sagres, and made Lagos a ship-building centre.
Cabanas de Tavira / Quinta Da Gomeira area
There is lots to do in Cabanas you can swim, sail, water-ski, sunbathe, cycle, picnic,go walking, beachcombing, horseriding, shopping, eating, drinking!
If you want to go outside of Cabanas you are just 10 minutes away by car from Tavira or along the N125 you can pop in and visit any of the beautiful towns along the Algarve (Lagos approx. 1 hour away by car). You can also use the train service to get yourself around the Algarve.
Spain is just an hour away - Seville approx 1.5 hours drive - worth a visit.
And of course there's the golf! There are 3- 4 golf-courses within easy reach, the nearest being Benamor just as you drive into Cabanas.
How to get there
-Fly to Faro and Cabanas is just 40 minutes drive from the Airport. -Or fly into Seville approx 1.5 hour drive. -Cheap flights are available from www.easyjet.co.uk or www.ryanair.com -Also over 27 other airlines fly into Faro from all over Europe -Car hire available from lots of providers at Airport eg. Budget/Europcar/Avis -Local car hire available in Cabanas or in Tavira -Cabanas is accessible by Bus (Eva)/Train (approx 10 minutes walk to apt). -There are always local taxis transfers available - fare should be approx. 20 euros/person from Airport. -We can organise a meet and greet at Airport and drive you and up to 5 others to apartment for approx. €60.

Further details indoors: This new (in 2008 ) ground floor apartment is decorated to a high standard and has its own private and secure outdoor terrace area to the rear of the apartment . The apartment is extremely child friendly and included in the prices listed are 2 high chairs and 2 travel cots for use at no extra cost.
There is a comfortable size kitchen with all mod cons. Just off the kitchen you have the living/dining area with dining seating for up to 6 people and two sofas and flatscreen TV with Sky. The apartments main bedroom is en suite and double doors open out from the main bedroom onto the terrace. The two additional bedrooms to the front of the premises each have two single beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath/shower facilities.
Further details outdoors: To the rear of the apartment there is a good size terrace area (50 sq metres) with fixed BBQ facilities. There is an outside dining area with seating for up to 6 as well as a small table and chairs for 2 young children. There are 4 sun loungers to take in some sunshine!
Across the road from the apartment is a childs playground which will keep the kids entertained. There is also a newly refurbished church and beside that you have a coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor eating facilities.
The seafront is just 2 minutes walk from the property however if you prefer a swimming pools there are 4 large swimming pools within the complex.

-Smoking permitted but preferably out on the terrace. -Any breakages can be paid for prior to departure. -Bookings for 2009 Saturday changeover in June, July & August. -Booking fee of €50 non-refundable (deducted from balance of rental due). -25% of rental fee due eight weeks before your stay to secure booking. -Balance of rental fee 4 weeks before your stay. -Inside the main apartment complex door there are approx 6 steps to reach this ground floor apartment.
