This Stunning Penthouse Apartment is situated in the picturesque fishing village of Cabanas on the Eastern Algarve. With 2 balconies and a spacious roof terrace where there is plenty of outside space to enjoy all day sunshine and incredible sunsets. Equipped with air conditioning/ heating to the lounge and bedrooms the apartment is furnished to a very high standard.

The Cabanas waterfront is within 20 minutes walk providing excellent shops, bars & restaurants serving local wine and fish at reasonable prices. Cabanas has clear waters, blue lagoons and clean golden sands. The beach is accessed by a two minute water taxi ride, and the beach never seems to get too crowded.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

Tavira is a picturesque town, with narrow cobbled streets, beautiful riverside gardens, many restaurants, old palaces, castle ruins and ancient Roman bridge spanning a wide river. There is a large daily vegetable and fish market, a wide variety of small shops, and a good selection of river-side restaurants where you may eat alfresco.

During the summer evenings Tavira hosts many cultural activities - from the visiting national ballet, and classical concerts in one of Tavira’s ornate ancient churches, to local folk dancing under the stars in the central gardens by the river.
Local activities include: Boat trips, horse-riding, tennis, windsurfing, waterslide parks.
Spain is only 30 minutes away, and Seville can be reached in 1.5 hours drive.

Cabanas de Tavira / Conceicao de Tavira area

Cabanas is very near to Tavira (4km away) which is a lovely, old fishing town known as the ‘’Venice of the Algarve’’ with narrow cobbled streets, fantastic architecture and lots more shops, bars and restaurants.

The Cabanas waterfront is within 20 minutes walk providing excellent shops, bars & restaurants serving local wine and fish at reasonable prices. Cabanas has clear waters, blue lagoons and clean golden sands. The beach is accessed by a two minute water taxi ride, which never seems to get too crowded. .

Nearby, the local train will take you right along the Algarve coast and a regular bus service operates locally. There are a couple of supermarkets and a pharmacy nearby.

COAST/BEACH

The apartment is about 20 minutes easy stroll to the waterfront where small boats offer a 2 minute boat ride for a small fee to the long and unspoilt Cabanas Beach. The beach has its own cafe bar, changing facilities and toilets. Sun bed and parasol hire are available. During the out of season period the beach is a wildlife nature reserve. There are a number of Blue flag beaches around the Tavira / Cabanas coastal area.

GOLF HEAVEN:

The Algarve is the most popular golfing holiday destination in Europe and Eastern Algarve has over 20 golf courses! With its temperate year round climate, it offers fabulous golf on a choice of great courses and excellent value for money.

The nearest golf course is Benamor, ranked in the top ten best golf courses in Europe and is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The course was adapted from Henry Cotton’s original concept and offers some interesting challenges amid peaceful surroundings. There are 2 top rated courses within a 5 minute drive, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima. Quinta da Ria is relatively flat, the course winds through almond and olive groves and stretches down to the Ria Formosa river. It has stunning views and is a must play for all avid golfers visiting the Algarve. Quinta da Cima was rated the number one course in Portugal in 2004 by the prestigious Peugeot guide. Castro Marim and Maragota courses are fifteen minutes away. There are several more courses in Spain and the Western Algarve within an hours drive. Monte Rei Golf and Country Club is reportedly the most exclusive and cosmopolitan development in the Algarve. This is set in acres of beautiful countryside and is only 20 minutes away.

There are lots of days out to be had, especially as Spain is only about 15 miles away. Trips are available to Seville, Gibraltar, water parks, Zoo marine and local markets. There are agents for booking cars and day trips to the water parks and Zoo Marines.

DISTANCES:

The nearest town is Tavira (4km) which is alive with bars and restaurants. It is a wonderful old fishing village and has great charm and can be accessed by bus, train (2 stops) or taxi. You do not have to travel far to be on glorious sandy
beaches or exploring some of the smaller and larger towns with their castles and outdoor markets. Spain is only 25km away with all it has to offer.

FURTHER DETAILS:

Cabanas has a bank, ATM, post office, internet cafe and a couple of supermarkets with lots of bars and restaurants all within a walking distance of 10-20 minutes. It is a lovely old fishing town and it is very pleasant to walk around its quiet streets. The waterfront is charming with colourful fishing boats and its eateries. A further walk along the promenade takes you into pine forests with walks along the sea. Other beaches can be accessed via the water taxis from Tavira. Although there is some development going on in the area it is generally peaceful and unspoilt with orange and lemon groves everywhere.

Easyjet, Ryanair and Monarch all fly to Faro Airport that is about 35 minutes (35km) drive.

There are taxis and local buses to Tavira and Cabanas.
The local train station Conceição is about 5 mins walk from the apartment.

There are all the major car hire companies within the arrivals area and can be pre-booked on-line.
Alternatively, you can hire a car for shorter periods in Cabanas.

We can also arrange transportation from the airport and a meet and greet service for an additional
charge (paid directly to our representative on site).

The complex has a beautiful large swimming pool surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens and is only a five minute walk from Benamore golf course – perfect for family holidays and golf getaways with over 20 golf courses nearby! (Guests are also welcome to use the further three swimming pools in the complex, children's swimming pool in phase 1)

ACCESSIBILITY:

The apartment is accessed via three wide flights of interior stairs and a lift, with a handrail on one side. We recommend that children should not use the spiral staircase to the roof terrace unless accompanied by an adult.

The lobby area serves 6 apartments in the block and access to this area is controlled via an intercom system. There is a parking bay right outside the apartment. All windows have shutters for shade and security and the front door has multi-point locks.

OUTSIDE:

One of the great benefits of the apartment is the amount of outdoor space.
Bedroom 2 has a small balcony. Bedroom 1 shares the main spacious balcony which has a spiral staircase leading up to the very large roof terrace.

The lounge balcony offers outside dining shaded from the heat.
The roof terrace is ideal for sunbathing.

The swimming pool is a very good size, there are showers at the side and it has secure gated access for sole use by guests of the complex. It is set in a landscaped area with lawns and flower beds.
The quality of the outside area is superb, even down to the coloured slate tiles used on the walls.
The whole feeling of the complex is one of space and quality.

Terraces: Balcony 1 has table and 6 chairs, spiral staircase leads to roof top terrace which also has a table and 6 chairs, sun loungers, large parasol and electric barbecue. Balcony 2 also has small table and two chairs.

OTHER:

The large roof top terrace receives all day sunshine and has views of the sea and surrounding countryside. It's just the place to soak up the sun, sit and relax, or enjoy a drink and maybe a barbecue whilst watching the sun go down.


Further details

Price includes fresh bed linen and bathroom towels which are provided every 7 days and the apartment is cleaned once a week if required. Guests are asked to please provide their own towels for pool and beach.

Our English representative can meet you on arrival on request to show you around, and will be on call to deal with any questions which may arise.

A grocery pack can be provided for a small charge if required.

Cots and highchairs available to hire.

NOTES ON ACCOMMODATION:
The air conditioning also doubles as heating and can be set to a specific temperature.

We request that guests do not smoke inside the apartment.
WE REGRET WE DO NOT ACCEPT BOOKINGS FROM PARTIES OF TEENAGERS.
We regret the apartment is not suitable for pets.

Please be aware that the combi-boiler produces very hot water and care should be taken, especially with regards to children. Also please do not let children use the electric BBQ for safety reasons.

NO SMOKING IN THE APARTMENT PLEASE.


Conditions

A 25% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The final balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure, an additional refundable deposit of £100 will be required in the event of any damages. We advise our guests to cover risk of cancellation with their own holiday insurance.

We will be happy to discuss long weekends and longer term bookings such as winter lettings.
