The Benamor Golf course is just a 5-minute walk from our development. This course opened in May 2000 and has proven to be very popular. The course was adapted from Henry Cotton's original concept and offers some interesting challenges amid peaceful surroundings. Cork oaks, water and contoured greens feature prominently and it is well recommended.
Located only 10 minutes drive from Cabanas; Monte Rei Golf & Country Club encompasses over 1,000 acres of countryside. The club will feature two 18-hole championship courses, the first of which, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course, is already functioning.
There are still two other courses nearby. The Quinta da Ria Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away from Costa de Cabanas which opened in 2001 to rave reviews. Relatively flat, the course winds through almond and olive groves and stretches down to the Ria Formosa. Stunning views and a "must play" for all avid golfers visiting the Algarve. The Quinta de Cima Golf Club tests even the most seasoned golfers with its 18 holes skillfully scattered with doglegs to the right and left and with greens well protected by sand hazards and beautiful lakes.

...Enjoy The Architecture And Historical Heritage Of Tavira... Recognized as one of the most architecturally attractive towns in all of Portugal, Tavira, which dates back to 2000BC, is steeped in culture and rich history.
Known by locals as the town of churches, thanks to its 18th century buildings and 37 churches, among the many impressive features of Tavira you will find a perfect Roman bridge linking the two parts of the town across the Gilão river.
The skyline of the city is also impressive thanks to its unique roofs, called “scissors roofs”. With oriental origins these roofs allow a better air circulation, making it cooler inside the houses. At Palácio da Galeria museum, a 16th century building, you can find out more about Tavira’s history while discovering the art of contemporary Portuguese artists, in one of its regular exhibitions.
During the Summer, the city becomes even more alive with a daily cultural program, bringing to Tavira the most famous Portuguese artists, like Mariza. You can then Relax And Taste The Fantastic Local Cuisine! In Cabanas village you will find a wide choice of tasty fresh fish, grilled according to local style, seafood and “petiscos” (samples) restaurants. After sunset you can also have fun at one of the pubs offering nightlife.
How to get there
From Faro International Airport, Costa de Cabanas is easily accessible by a modern scenic motorway – the A22 Via do Infante.
Leaving the Airport take the EN125 direction A22 (± 25 kms). At the A22 entrance head towards Spain and leave the motorway at Tavira. On the first roundabout take the second road, and at the second roundabout take the third exit, direction Vila Real de Santo António.
Once you see the golf roundabout turn left and go straight ahead until you get to the waterfront. Turn left and follow the Tavira signs, 3 minutes later you’ll arrive at the Costa de Cabanas development.

The remainder of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.
** Cleaning will be prior to arrival and if booked for two week period or more, then cleaning will be every Saturday. If extra cleaning is required this must be requested at the time of booking and it will be an additional €70 payable at the time of booking or locally.**
Cleaning is provided on change over days. If extra cleaning is required it can be arranged locally and paid locally.
