Fully furnished 3 bedroom apartment in quiet area just behind the seafront. The apartment is on 2 floors, has a large sea facing terrace with barbecue and shower which is not overlooked. There is a pool set in secure grounds of the small condominium, for use by the condominium apartments, and underground parking space for one car. Ideally situated for family holidays or golfing groups.
Spacious living room with air-conditioning/heating. Two sofas, a dining table (expands to seat 6 with 4 chairs and 2 stools). TV, DVD player, Stereo CD/radio. French windows to the south facing terrace. Well equipped kitchen with Electric oven/grill, gas hob (with extractor hood), fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Ample crockery, glassware, cutlery and general kitchen equipment.
Bedroom 1 with double size bed, built- in wardrobe and electronic safe. Bedroom 2 with twin beds and wardrobes.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds and wardrobes. Air conditioning/ heating in all bedrooms. Bathroom 1 with bath/shower, WC, bidet, wash basin and cupboard. Bathroom 2 with shower, WC and cupboard.

There are several cash machines around Cabanas and a bank on the sea front. A small post office is open weekday mornings. There are several supermarkets within Cabanas and two large supermarkets are to be found in Tavira. There is also the Forum Algarve shopping mall in Faro with its excellent shops, jumbo hypermarket and plenty of restaurants.

Non refundable 25% deposit to be paid at time of reservation, balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date. Bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival to be paid in full. A damages deposit of £70 to be paid with the balance, returned after departure and return of keys. We advise you to cover risks of cancellation in your holiday insurance.
The Algarve / East Algarve region
Architecturally one of the most attractive towns in the Algarve. Beaches that go on for miles. Fields of orange trees. Hills of figs and almond trees. Houses with whitewashed walls and distinctive chimneys.
A Roman bridge links the two parts of the town over the Ria Gilao. Much of Tavira is rural and undeveloped although that is changing due to the tourist industry.
Ilha da Tavira – regular ferry crossings to the island which is opposite the town. Long beach including sport facilities.
Cabanas – beach separated by the Ria Formosa, accessible by boat.
Conceicao – opposite village of same name and is reached by boat. Extensive beach.
Santa Luzia – vast beach that offers solitude.
Barril – long beach.
Vila Real The little frontier town of Vila Real de Santo António lies on the right bank of the Guadiana which is navigable as far as Mértola. There are regular ferries to Ayamonte, the Spanish port on the other side, although these have been used less since a expressway bridge was built across the river a few miles to the north.However, river excursions from Vila Real de Santo António are most enjoyable. The many visitors to the town come for the day to take advantage of the bargains in the shops. Until the 1960s there were a number of fish canning factories here, especially for tuna and sardines, but now there are only two.TownscapeThe town was founded in 1774 by the Marquês de Pombal on the site of Santo António da Avenilha which had been destroyed by a tidal wave at the beginning of the 17th C. He had it laid out like a chessboard, and settled it with fisherfolk from Aveiro. The town centre is the Praça do Marquês de Pombal, paved with a black and white mosaic radiating from the obelisk (1775) that is a monument to José I, and lined with inviting street cafes.
The Cabanas de Tavira area
Cabanas is situated beside the Ria Formosa lagoon with excellent unspoilt sandy beaches which continue along the coast to Manta Rota, 2 mins by taxi boats across the Ria. The beach has a supervised swimming area, first aid post, changing facilities, 2 cafes, water sports and sun loungers. From Tavira the beaches at Isle da Tavira can be accessed by boat. Manta Rota is a 15 min drive and Monte Gordo a further 10 mins away.
Benamor golf course has views of the mountains and is 5 mins away from the apartment and offers a tight and challenging round. Quinta da Ria with beautiful sea views and Quinta da Cima are within 10 mins. The new Jack Nicklaus signature course at Monte Rei is open and is a further 5 mins away and the course at Castro Marim a 25 min drive.

Easyjet, BMIBaby, Monarch,Jet2, Globespan, ThomasCook, My Travel and many others both scheduled and charter flights. Ryanair fly from Dublin and Bristol.

We were delighted with the Concha Azul apartment-one of a block of 12 sharing a lovely pool and underground garage. We stayed with our daughter and partner and their 2 young children. The 3 bedroom apartment was very well laid out and well equipped. The rooms and the terrace were spacious and comfortable.The terrace has a view of the beach and you can even hear the tide coming in and out. It's located on a quite street, 3 minutes walk to the row of bars, restaurants and shops along the boardwalk which runs along the river.
The apartment is very good value for money and the owners responded quickly and courteously to all our inquiries and requests. For us the location, accommodation and price were perfect for all our needs. We'll certainly book it again for our next holiday in Portugal.
