Situated in a brand new residential area, this modern, self catering apartment offers an excellent standard of accommodation and any visitor cannot fail to be impressed with the superb d�cor and furnishings. However, the best feature has to be the spectacular sea front location and views of the River Formosa and the beach which can be seen from all balconies!
The location is perfect for those wishing to be based close to amenities with beach access less than 1 minute walk away and an abundance of reasonably priced restaurants in very close proximity.
This apartment is offered for rental individually, but also has a smaller 1 bed apartment directly adjacent to it which could be rented together to accommodate larger families or groups wishing to share their holiday whilst retaining some privacy. Some discount will be offered for a double rental, details available upon request.

The Algarve / East Algarve region
With its stunning coastline, excellent golf courses and pleasant year round climate, the Algarve's 200 kilometre stretch of southern shoreline has become one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. Bordered on two sides by the Atlantic Ocean, the Algarve is divided from the rest of Portugal by a series of low lying mountains. In the east, the Guadiana River forms a scenic border with neighbouring Spain.
There is a clear definition between the Western Algarve and the East. Whilst the West shows more development towards tourism, the Eastern Algarve and its tidal marshlands still have a tranquil beauty, and the small resorts along the coast have retained much of their character, looking today as they must have looked long ago. Here, tourism blends in perfectly with local activities creating a relaxed way of life. There is a tinge of excitement and even romance about the ferry boat trips to the beach islands, where visitors are rewarded with superb, less crowded bathing beaches and warm waters.
The sea water temperature is around 14c in January and reaches a high 22c in August. A pleasant sea breeze refreshes the temperatures of the region, which are around 15c in January and up to 28c or more in July and August. The Algarve can also count on around 3.000 hours of Sun during the year which makes it a favourite destination for those who fancy such a sunny climate. The autumn and winter months are mild, but you will need a jacket in the evening and some kind of heating in your apartment or hotel room. January is the coolest month of the year.
Cabanas de Tavira area
Cabanas is a small and pretty fishing village and is not overcrowded with tourists. It remains largely unspoilt and has a friendly, family atmosphere. The whole village can be leisurely strolled, from end to end, in around 30 minutes and has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and cafes catering for all tastes - most of which are along the sea front capturing the day time sunshine.
For smaller budgets and a taste of the real Algarve, there are also a number of traditional bars and Tascas serving typical Portuguese meals in the back streets at very reasonable prices! The village has 2 good supermarkets with a range of fresh produce and there is also a daily market, butchers and bakers. There are relatively few gifts shops, but in the height of summer, there are stalls selling handcrafted goods. Cabanas is not a destination for those seeking activity and night life - the atmosphere is generally relaxed and is perfect for socialising, relaxing and dining. Good bus/rail links.
CABANAS BEACH ISLAND The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy shores and Cabanas beach Island is no exception! Separated by an arm of the River Formosa the sands are golden and clean and offer good standards of bathing and sun worshipping. There is a small range of amenities including snack bars and sunbeds and shades for hire. The Island is reached by a small and inexpensive boat from a designated point whihc is just across the road from the apartment. Speed boat water taxis are also available providing a fun and exciting way to travel to nearby beaches - of which Tavira Island can be highly recommended for a Tropical Holiday adventure! THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF TAVIRA When staying in this accommodation a visit to the beautiful town of Tavira is essential! You will not fail to be enthralled by its unspoilt charm, character and tranquillity. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history dating as far back as 2000BC. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful drink or meal. Horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful ambience. The many churches (37 in total!), the town castle and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park are all places to visit, along with the wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce. Tavira Island and its wonderful beach is accessible by ferry boat from the town and offers excellent facilities with a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO …….by travelling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do to suit all tastes. For nature lovers there are forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or natures trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance! By travelling towards the West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine (wonderful for children), all easily reached by car (around 45 minutes) or by day trip coach. From this property it is easy to take a day trip to Spain. The lovely border town of Ayamonte is not far by car, and once there you can sample the delights of another country, including wine, tapas and excellent shopping. Or you can travel by car, local bus or train to Vila Real de Santo Antonio and from there take the 15 minute ferry crossing to Ayamonte. For the more adventurous the vibrant city of Seville is approx 170km away. For budding historians the Castle at Castro Marim is worth a look.
GOLF This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes. The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling only 10kms further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and just across the border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity. We can organise a full golfing package with 1 price per head with play at a selection of these courses, car hire and rental of this property. (Flights not included)

Further details indoors: Beautifully furnished and spacious, this split level apartment is situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the main building and can accommodate up to 6 people. The lower ground floor comprises kitchen, lounge and bathroom.
The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer and has a breakfast bar. The lounge has a large dining table with comfortable seating which also converts to extra sleeping space. Bed linen is available for up to 6 people. TV and DVD. The lounge patio doors lead to a good size balcony.
The upper floor comprises 2 en suite twin bedrooms with patio doors leading to a terraces. Air conditioned throughout the apartment
Further details outdoors: With the 2 levels, there are 2 patios and the uppermost one has a dining table and chairs enabling guests to dine ' al fresco' and enjoy the spectacular views of the beach and the river. There is designated underground parking with both the small and large apartment.

These times will only be applied if absolutely necessary and we will accommodate arrival and departure as fully as possible. Villa care company available throughout stay for assistance if required.
