Home description

This townhouse has been completely refurbished to a high standard yet it retains all the old world charm of a village setting. The owners have provided all the modern equipment you might desire to make this a truly comfortable home.

The house sits on a quiet village lane about a 30 second walk from the centre of Cabanas although it is still quiet and you wont hear the evening bustle.

The house is spacious with a modern kitchen with good cooking facilities including a new oven and microwave. The kitchen is very clean with granite work surfaces. There is a lovely sitting room with satellite TV and dvd player. Comfy chairs. The dining area is spacious and can sit 6 comfortably. There is a air con unit that is brand new and very quiet.

A particular feature of the house is the lovely courtyard– ideal for children to play in or for evening meals ,al fresco. There is a small BBQ and a beautiful clementine tree- help yourself if they are in season. The owners have provided loungers for the sun worshippers and there is an outside light to read into the early hours.

The local agent is available to make sure there are no problems. They can arrange cots and high chairs. They will also meet you at the apartment to ensure everything is okay and provide the keys

The local beach ,which is 5 min walk and a 5 min water taxi ride is outstanding.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

The apartment is situated in the eastern Algarve. Approx 20 mins drive to the Spanish border. Great beaches everywhere and interesting days out. The tourist areas of Vilamoura, Albufeira and Lagos are all within an hour. This means you have some of the world's top golf courses within driving distance.

Isla Magica, Seville and the Spanish resorts in Costa Luz are all 2 hours away. Faro, and in particular Forum Algarve, has great shopping.

Climate is sensational. Very hot in July and June ,hot and sometimes windy in August. Great sun all year round.

Cabanas de Tavira area

Lovely traditional Portuguese village.

Tavira is 5 kms away. A bustling fishing port ,with great shops and restaurants but there are many splendid eateries within 5 mins walk of the apartment.

How to get there

Budget options. Fly to Seville( only 90 mins away) with Ryanair or Faro (40 mins away) with Ryanair ,Easyjet
We recommend car hire via Sotarent in Cabanas. He will meet you at the airport and is local.
You can arrange take a taxi from Faro airport to Cabanas for 50e. You then would not need a car so would suit someone who doesn't want to travel.

We can recommend swimming pools where you can purchase passes and tennis is 10 mins walk away
the owner uses a pool in the village which can be arranged at a price of 40e for the week. This can very and is arranged by the local agent.
The village has 5 internet cafes
All mobile networks work in the apartment ,at least we have not found on that doesn't ,and in the village
