Sea Dreamin' at Byron.....go to sleep & wake up to the sounds of the waves breaking on the golden beaches of beautiful Byron Bay......the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. Enjoy the sounds of the birds in the extensive gardens & perhaps spot a wallaby (type of kangaroo) in the Arakwal National Park which adjoins Sea Dreamin' at Byron. All this & the beach is just a mere 500 metre stroll along a beach track. Enjoy breakfast on the back deck & see the dolphins at play in the waves........juice, coffee, bacon 'n' eggs on the BBQ. From May till October view the Humpback whales on their yearly migration......all without having to leave Sea Dreamin' at Byron. Enjoy the ambience of the town itself........famous for its diversity of street artists, surfers, celebraties & some excellent restaurants to tempt your taste buds.

The New South Wales region
Byron Bay is in the Australian state of New South Wales but is closer to Queensland. The climate is sub tropical with Summer temps between 20c & 35c * Winter temps 10c & 25c. Water temp in Winter 18c & Summer 23c Byron Bay has many National Parks within easy reach by car & their are travel companies to take guests to these beautiful spots. Whale season May till October & dolphins abound all year round. Sea Kayak tours from the beach.....Andy guarantees to see dolphins or it is his shout at the famous Beach Hotel (Crocodile Dundee). Alternate lifestyle.......yoga, massage, fire-eaters, markets, surfers. Byron Bay in days gone by was a major whaling station but now it features prominently in debates to stop whaling. The last whale caught was in 1956 if my memory serves me well.
Byron Bay / Pacific Vista Drive area
The Blues & Roots Festival comes to town every Easter & features many local & overseas performers. Accom is at a premium at this time as is School Holiday periods. In July the town livens up to Splendour in the Grass Festival. In August the town welcomes The Writers Festival. The Winter Whales ocean swim is held in September & attracts hundreds of swimmers from Australia & beyond, as does the Byron Bay Triathlon.
