An idyllic cottage in a wonderful location. Stunning views in every direction. The cottage is furnished to a high standard by someone who clearly has a good sense for interiors. The owners are kind and helpful without ever being intrusive. You couldn't really ask for more

I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for the nice review. I'm glad you like the cottage and I try to keep all the original features along with all the modern essentials that we all need! It was really nice to meet you both. Jane

"Stunning views and perfect location for a romantic getaway!"

We knew from the photos that the cottage and surroundings would be lovely, however the real thing exceeded expectations! We were able to enjoy the stunning views right on our door step with a glass of wine, and enjoy the characteristic cottage (esp wood burning fire) to relax in the evening after a day of walking!

From a practical point of view, this is a really easy cottage to get to off main roads so not too much country road driving, however once at Biggins Grange, you feel wonderfully cut off from the world. Great base for walks/cycling as well as visiting more well known places such as Bakewell and Chatsworth. Jane was extremely welcoming and helpful in pointing out good walks for us to do. All required amenities came with the cottage and overall was a very comfortable stay. The main selling points are location and the amazing views. We would definitely rent here again on our next visit to the Lake District!

I am really pleased you chose you come and stay with us on your way to the Lake District and glad you had a nice few days.
Even in the summer the wood-burning stove can make the cottage so cosy and I'm glad you made use of it.
It was nice to meet you both and do come back in the future,

"Brilliant cottage in a great area"

Really enjoyed our week long stay with a few local walks into Hartington for ice cream and along Tissington Trail as well which isn't far away.
The cottage itself is beautiful, not overlooked and has stunning views. There was a minor plumbing issue whilst we were there but it was soon sorted at a time that suited us so we suggested a day when we would be out and about exploring Chatsworth house.
The people were very friendly and we would definitely recommend this cottage and area.

Thanks so much for your review and I am glad you both had a nice time at the Cottage. We are so lucky with the views and I am glad the weather has been so good recently that you were able to sit out and enjoy them.

Perfect cottage, with everything you could possibly need. Ideal location especially for cycling on the Tissington trail. The three ducks kept us amused by their antics!

Really pleased you had a nice time and glad you managed to make use of the Tissington Trail. We are lucky it is so near! Glad the Indian Runners ducks amused you - I could do with them laying a few more eggs!
Thanks for the review.

"gorgeous cottage, perfect location"

A fantastic stay at a delightfully snug cottage. Log burning stove to curl up in front of each night, luxurious bedroom with a four poster bed with a convenient and spacious en-suite with a deep bath to soak your aching muscles in after one of the many local walks available. Surrounded by gorgeous villages, each with their own pub, this cottage is perfect for couples young and old to get away from everyday stresses, switch off and relax in some of the countries finest scenery and countryside. Rolling hills and deep valleys, with local towns with plenty to see, do, eat and drink all within a short drive away.

I would highly recommend this cottage, not only for it's location, but it's size, amenities, cleanliness and overall value...not to mention a very helpful owner who went above and beyond the standard service i.e. went and collected a bouquet of flowers on my behalf to have ready and waiting on our arrival.

Just perfect!!

Really pleased you had a lovely time and glad you managed to explore. It was very nice to meet you both and hope to see you again in Derbyshire in the future.

"Cosy barn conversion with an impressive bedroom"

We stayed at the old farrowings, one of three barn conversions at Biggin Grange. The accommodation was just as we hoped it would be, warm and cosy with a lovely log burner in the living area. The kitchen provided all the essentials needed but the surprise was the huge bedroom, with exposed beams, very nice. The property has lovely views and a private patio area. We will definitely book again in the Spring.

Thanks very much for the review. Hope to see you back in Derbyshire in the Spring to enjoy the lovely views!
