"Very spacious and comfortable quiet getaway"

Well equipped, clean, comfortable and spacious stone barn conversion. Nice peaceful position surrounded by pastures with sheep and cows; well placed for exploring the Peak District, close to walking routes and bike trails.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. Also many thanks for pointing out about the knife block and the rubber gloves which have all been replaced and dishwasher which is working perfectly now. I really do try hard to fix things if guests point them out.

"Beautiful relaxing weekend stay"

The cottage was amazing, exactly like the photos. Beautiful location, lovely views out from the terrace. Spacious, but cosy! There was everything you could ever need in the kitchen, even a selection o… More

Thanks so much for the lovely review and I am really pleased you had a nice weekend. I have just bought a few more DVD's for the cottage as nothing nicer I think than watching a film snuggled up on the sofa!
Look forward to seeing you again at Biggin Grange and I sure Mungo and Otto will be pleased to see you again wagging their tails!
Thanks again.

"Luxury in the Dales"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Creamery, one of 3 beautifully converted cottages close to the village of Hartington in a very pretty part of the Peak District. The cottage was very spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable, with stunning views towards Biggin Dale, and had its own very private sunny patio overlooking fields of sheep and the dale itself . Our Hosts were very accommodating and had thoughtfully provided many extras including a Nespresso machine and useful walking pamphlets. There are many very lovely walks from the property itself down to the River Dove, or within easy driving distance, and the pretty nearby village of Hartington has a well-stocked village stores, good pubs and tea rooms. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Derbyshire and thank you for your kind words.
The Nespresso machine is an essential part of my life so I wanted to put them in all of the cottages as well!
Hope to see you back in the Peak District in the future. Jane

"A lovely cottage, full of character, perfectly placed to enjoy the Peak District."

Ideally we wanted a place to stay centrally located within the Peaks, a little off the beaten track perhaps, ideally with charm, character and some great walks nearby. Well, we certainly wasn't dissappointed, this place had it all! Our stay at the Creamery exceeded our expectations and proved the perfect place to base a couple of days in the park. The accommodation is set away from the lane on a converted outbuilding, so it's very quiet. The living area/open kitchen space is huge, the bedroom and ensuite bathroom equally so. The fixtures, fittings are all to a high standard and the decor made for a really homely feel. We particularly enjoyed watching the patio, enjoying the sunset whilst having our supper outside, really was special.
Jane, the owner and her family made us feel very welcome and we couldn't recommend staying here enough! Here's to the next time..

I am so glad you enjoyed your visit to Derbyshire. Thank you so much for your lovely review and please come and see us again! Jane

"Wonderful location, lovely interior and very helpful owners!"

My husband and I didn't actually stay in the Courtyard Creamery because it was a secret present for my husbands parents. However we were so jealous and would have loved to stay ourselves! The cottage is amazing, so warm (as it was a very rainy day and cold outside, the heating was on when we arrived, and we had to turn it down in the end after being there an hour) and cosy, beautiful well kept grounds and brilliant entrance for cars! We booked this secluded cottage just for my in-laws, as a gift to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, father-in-laws 65th birthday and his semi-retirement.

They thoroughly enjoyed the stay and were so surprised by the gift from us and my husbands siblings as we all chipped in towards the payment. They loved the cottage and it's setting, they had a few walks around the area, and also visited nearby villages/towns for a day out. They couldn't praise it enough and loved the long weekend away, I would love to stay in the Old Farrowings (the living area looks so cute) and go back there myself.

We booked just a long weekend for them in advance and explained our plan to the owners where we just give his parents a postcode, date and time to arrive, we would show up an hour early to stock the fridge with provisions and await their arrival. My mother-in-law was aware they were staying away for a few nights and would need walking gear for if they wanted to go along any nearby walking routes, but my father-in-law was totally unaware what we had planned. The owners were very accomodating and allowed us to arrive an hour earlier than usual, as we had to travel up from Surrey and had a tight schedule planned for the day.

I highly recommend staying here, and I'm sure my in-laws will be saying the same to their friends and family when they tell them all about their stay here!

I think you did so well organising such a lovely surprise - you must be the perfect daughter-in-law! It was really nice to meet your in-laws and I am so glad they had a nice time at the Cottage. Please come and stay in The Old Farrowings - maybe this time without all your family in tow! Thanks so much for the lovely review.

"Just what we needed"

My friend and I booked the Courtyard Creamery as we wanted a walking weekend in the Peak District. We loved what the photos showed us and weren't disappointed when we saw it for real. The location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Peak District, if you need shops/supermarkets they are 10 minutes away so you feel nicely "cut-off" here. The quality of the accommodation and facilities was fantastic, and Jane and her husband were so helpful and friendly. They gave us the run-down of the place and the area and then left us to it, but they were on hand if we had any queries. There were lots of helpful information in the accommodation which really helped us to refine which walks to take - the Chatsworth House routes were our favourite. We would highly rate this property and would definitely return.

Thanks very much for your review and I am so glad you both had a good weekend. I must try those Chatsworth walks as so often I just go to the fantastic Chatsworth Farm Shop and stock up and then come home! I hope you manage to get back to Derbyshire again in the future and discover some other walks. Jane

"Perfect peaceful cottage"

Very comfortable, well-equipped cottage and we were lucky enough to have great weather too, so could sit out on the patio with glorious views. Walks available from the door, using the guides provided.

So pleased you had a nice time and had some good weather to sit out and enjoy the views. Thanks very much for the review.

"Fantastic stay"

Superb accommodation in the most peaceful and scenic surroundings. Plenty of wonderful walks straight from the door. The Courtyard Creamery offers everything you could need and more. Looking forward to another stay in the warmer summer months when we can sit outside and soak up the views!

Thanks so much for the review. So pleased you had a lovely few days. Do come back and see us - the bathroom has just been redecorated so we are ready for your return! It was very nice to meet you both. Jane
