Idyllic cottage that has been restored and converted to a very high standard set within the grounds of the owners Grade II listed property which dates back to the 14th Century. Uninterrupted views over Biggin Dale from the private patio and in an ideal position as from the door you can walk to the River Dove, Wolfscote Dale, Hartington and beyond. Close to the Tissington Trail.

Courtyard Creamery has accommodation all on one level and you enter into the large open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room (9m x 6m) which has a slate floor and exposed beams. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is an electric wood-burning stove, TV, DVD and CD/Radio/iPod docking station. The bedroom has a king-size bed with goose down duvet and 100% cotton linen. The ensuite bathroom with bath, shower over, hand-basin & loo has views over the countryside. Towels included. The private south-facing patio is accessed from the living area.

Plenty of secure storage for bikes. The tennis court is available throughout the year. A central laundry area has a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board and also a pay phone. The cottages is heated by oil-fired central heating.

The Heart of England/Peak District

The Peak District National Park which was established in 1951 covers over 1400 sq km and has a huge variety of landscapes, wildlife, history and culture. The diverse nature of the Derbyshire landscape with its dry-stone walling, deep wooded valleys, heather clad moorlands, market towns and villages makes it the perfect setting for a relaxing break.

Biggin-by-Hartington sits high in the spectacular White Peak landscape and is a very popular are with walkers and cyclists. Just off the A515 midway between Ashbourne and Buxton the village is typical of a White Peak village, running along a single street and surrounded by farms and agricultural land. Buildings of note are the Church of St Thomas, the Waterloo Inn and Biggin Hall.

Biggin Grange is just outside the village and looks over Biggin Dale which is a beautiful sanctuary of which part of it is a National Nature Reserve. A short walk from Biggin Grange takes you down into Biggin Dale which runs into the River Dove. The hills are covered in lovely wild flowers amd in the Spring cowslips and purple orchids are abundant.

"Beautiful, peaceful, spacious and cosy!"

"Lovely peaceful spot"

Beautifully refurbished creamery. Elegantly furnished to a high standard. Wonderful king-sized bed. Everything you could need is provided, spotlessly clean, although the living area is spacious it was cosy and warm on a wet October day! Only tiny let down is that the bathroom is not quite to the high standard of the rest of the accommodation, but is still spotlessly clean and has everything you could need including some nice additional touches.Great base for some lovely walks and exploring the local area, about 20 min walk to the local pub. The owner was also extremely nice and I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation or go back.
