"Beautiful cottage in idyllic country setting"
We spent four nights in this cottage and had a lovely time. There is so much to do in the area; we visited Bakewell, saw well dressings, looked around Chatsworth House. The area is lovely and great fo… More
I'm so pleased you had a nice few days in Derbyshire. I agree about The Waterloo Inn as I took the children there for supper last week and the food was really good which is handy when I don't feel like cooking! Do come back and see us again. Jane

Thanks for your review. I am very sorry that my house-sitter did not manage to see you but I did email you before to say I was abroad on holiday.
I will look into the shower immediately with the plumber and I am very sorry that there were some wood-lice and flies. Obviously we live in the countryside and at this time of year when the days are getting cooler they sometimes come inside for some warmth.
Please do come back and see us again!

"Amazing accommodation with spectacular views.......will be returning."
Everything was perfect from the day we arrived until the day we left. Jane and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage was lovely and literally had everything you could possibly need in there. All you need to take is yourself and your clothes! Perfect for a short or long break. There was even a BBQ & charcoal provided. The views were spectacular and there are lots of lovely walks and very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We are looking to return again in the winter months to experience the cottage in a different climate.
Am glad you enjoyed the cottage and many thanks for the nice review.
It's a lovely cottage in the winter months and perfect with the wood burner roaring away. The views are always stunning whatever the month so hope you get a chance to come back and see Derbyshire in another season.

"Delightful Derbyshire Bolthole"
Spacious, superbly and tastefully furnished and more importantly this cottage has the most amazing view. It felt so private and quiet, we were able to relax as soon as we arrived.
If you are lucky enough to see a sunset it is truly a wonderful sight.
Equipped with everything you need, right next to a walking heaven and close to some lovely villages/towns and a local pub........................................ we just couldn't fit everything in.
A big thank you to the owners - Jane and Richard for making us feel so welcome. We also enjoyed the company of Otto and Mungo (the labradors) oh, and how could we forget the very tame chickens and Guiness the donkey.
We will be back.
Karen and Steve
Thank you very much for the nice review. The Labradors always seem to come and visit the cottages so I am glad they had a nice welcome from you!
Do come back and stay again when you need to recharge your batteries!

"Very spacious and comfortable quiet getaway"
Well equipped, clean, comfortable and spacious stone barn conversion. Nice peaceful position surrounded by pastures with sheep and cows; well placed for exploring the Peak District, close to walking routes and bike trails.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. Also many thanks for pointing out about the knife block and the rubber gloves which have all been replaced and dishwasher which is working perfectly now. I really do try hard to fix things if guests point them out.

Thanks so much for the lovely review and I am really pleased you had a nice weekend. I have just bought a few more DVD's for the cottage as nothing nicer I think than watching a film snuggled up on the sofa!
Look forward to seeing you again at Biggin Grange and I sure Mungo and Otto will be pleased to see you again wagging their tails!

"Luxury in the Dales"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Creamery, one of 3 beautifully converted cottages close to the village of Hartington in a very pretty part of the Peak District. The cottage was very spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable, with stunning views towards Biggin Dale, and had its own very private sunny patio overlooking fields of sheep and the dale itself . Our Hosts were very accommodating and had thoughtfully provided many extras including a Nespresso machine and useful walking pamphlets. There are many very lovely walks from the property itself down to the River Dove, or within easy driving distance, and the pretty nearby village of Hartington has a well-stocked village stores, good pubs and tea rooms. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Derbyshire and thank you for your kind words.
The Nespresso machine is an essential part of my life so I wanted to put them in all of the cottages as well!
Hope to see you back in the Peak District in the future. Jane

"A lovely cottage, full of character, perfectly placed to enjoy the Peak District."
Ideally we wanted a place to stay centrally located within the Peaks, a little off the beaten track perhaps, ideally with charm, character and some great walks nearby. Well, we certainly wasn't dissappointed, this place had it all! Our stay at the Creamery exceeded our expectations and proved the perfect place to base a couple of days in the park. The accommodation is set away from the lane on a converted outbuilding, so it's very quiet. The living area/open kitchen space is huge, the bedroom and ensuite bathroom equally so. The fixtures, fittings are all to a high standard and the decor made for a really homely feel. We particularly enjoyed watching the patio, enjoying the sunset whilst having our supper outside, really was special.
Jane, the owner and her family made us feel very welcome and we couldn't recommend staying here enough! Here's to the next time..
I am so glad you enjoyed your visit to Derbyshire. Thank you so much for your lovely review and please come and see us again! Jane
