Central Buxton. Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, top floor apartment. Log burning fire and view of Solomons Temple.

Within 5 minutes walking distance of opera house, shops, bars and restaurants. In a quiet, leafy area of Buxton which is very peaceful and has lovely open views. It is on a hill with an uphill walk from the train station and town.

2 very comfortable good sized, double Bedrooms.

Master has large en-suite and king size bed.

Second bedroom has a double bed.

A travel cot, single airbed and extra bedding is also available.

The main Bathroom has a free standing roll top bath and a small wine table for your glass!

- separate powerful shower with large rose head for high flow

The kitchen has hand painted units. Built in dishwasher, electric fan assisted oven, 5 burner gas hob, microwave, espresso coffee machine.

Lounge with views of Solomons Temple. Log burning open fire for cosy evenings (along with full gas central heating). Flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player, small selection of DVDs, books and games.

Very old, castle like building with long driveway makes it very quiet and peaceful. Shared garden with wooden garden furnitire.

One private parking space right next to the front door. Free roadside parking for additional vehicles at the end of the driveway.

Train station within 10 minutes walking distance with easy access to London and Manchester. Manchester airport is about 40 minutes away by car or direct airport bus.

The Peak District is well known for cycling, walking and climbing. We can arrange guided walks with local experts at all levels from a gentle amble to hilly trek training.

Easy access to other Derbyshire and Staffordshire villages and attractions including Chatsworth House, Matlock, Bakewell, and Alton Towers make it great for families of all ages.

Please note we are sorry but the property is not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs as the only access is via the tower staircase.

We do not have wi-fi but the signal is very good for you to use your own G3/G4 phones/dongles as a hotspot or BT hotspot who charge per day. Most pubs and restaurants have free wi-fi when you are out and about too.

"Wonderful home away from home in Buxton UK Peak District"

My wife and I, and another couple, shared Apartment 5 at 16 Corgar Road in Buxton for a week and it was delightful. The owner came over and gave us an excellent and friendly introduction to our spacious new home away from home. It was very fresh and new, very well equipped, 2 lovely bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, and full kitchen complete with dishwasher and microwave. Washing machine was great to have, as we were hiking in the Peak District for a week, then heading for London.

16 Corbar Road is well located -- we walked [uphill] from the train station, maybe 1 km, and walked back and forth into the business/arts district several times a day for shopping, dinner, etc. We also walked to many trails in and around Buxton [we are pretty good walkers].

The people in Buxton and the Peak District were all very nice, even the dogs in that part of England were very civilized and well behaved. Hope to go back and stay there again some day.

"In one word Fab-u-lous"

A truly lovely appartment perfectly positioned and beutifully furnished a 5 star luxory stay.
A variety of good restaurants nearby close to the opera house and a great position for touring the peaks

"Quality accomodation"

Took my 92 year old father away for a weekend break,we all loved the apartment and Buxton.The extra little touches of drinks in the fridge and aftershave in the bathroom etc.and well appointed furniture make this a great place to stay while visiting the Buxton area.

"Fantastic Apartment"

We had a lovely relaxing break in Buxton with Number 5 being the icing on the cake. The apartment has all you can need and more. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Sarah has been more than helpful, ensuring all was ok for us and even forwarding some forgotten clothing to us. Service in deed!

"Superb accommodation in an excellent location"

The flat suited our requirements perfectly; it was spacious, there were 2 adults and 2 teenagers in our party, and in an excellent location for accessing the local shops and restaurants in Buxton. It was also only a short drive from the Peaks and, as such, was able to provide a bit of everything. I would thoroughly recommend it; the flat was superbly prepared in advance of our arrival and the owner was helpful and friendly at all times.

"Beautiful Apartment. Fantastic Location, 10/10"

Simply beautiful, this apartment is even nicer than it appears on the photos, I was thrilled to bits when we arrived to collect the key, every room has been well thought out, the kitchen in particular is fabulous, we never wanted for a thing. It is also sparkling clean. Location wise it is excellent, close to town, and the views from the apartment were beautiful.
Sarah was brilliant and recommended great days out and also great restaurants etc to eat in. All in all, we had a fabulous family holiday, it was a real haven away from our very busy lives. I can't wait to visit again next year. I would highly recommend this apartment in fact it was so beautiful none of us wanted to leave.

"Perfect!"

We stayed here for 4 nights with our two young children. The flat was perfect. Beautifully furnished and finished and fully functional. We were able to cook for the kids with ease. The lounge is very comfortable to spend the evening with a glass of wine. The little touches made it feel much more than your usual self catering apartment from the complimentary cereals to the lovely toiletries to the incredibly soft fluffy towels! Great base to explore. Overall would highly recommend!

"Stylish & well appointed flat in a great location"

I stayed at 5 Corbar Towers for a weekend away with friends. The flat is beautiful - stylish, well appointed and clean - we couldn't ask for more.

If you're looking to self cater the kitchen is great - very well equipped and also stocked with essentials for cooking like oil and herbs.

Lovely hot showers which would be good after a days walking.

The location is excellent - a short walk from the station (10mins) and back into town, where there are a number of good places to eat (we went for Thai). We went to Alton Towers which was an easy 40min drive across the peaks. We also went to the Spa at the Dome just round the corner (previously known as the Devonshire spa) which I'd recommend.

Sarah was very helpful and friendly at all times - wish I could have stayed longer, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
