High quality self catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Hartington in the Derbyshire Dales. Ideally situated for visiting all the Peak District has to offer. Fantastic walking countryside straight from the cottages, including the beautiful Dovedale with the famous Stepping Stones. Tissington and High Peak cycle trails within one mile, as is the Manifold Track with the impressive Thors Cave. The stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are a short drive away. You can visit the spa town of Buxton, or the market towns of Ashbourne, Leek and Bakewell, where it is a must to sample the famous Bakewell pudding.

The cottages are conviently placed in Hartington within walking distance of the local inns and village stores.. Hartington is a lovely village and has a number of shops for you to "potter" around, or you can rest by the village pond and take in the ambience of the village. A visit to the church of St Giles is a must, and there is a permanent display in the Village Hall of old village photographs and history.

"Excellent stay"

We spent 5 days at Beech Cottage and all I can say is that it was excellent.
Very clean, very comfortable beds, kitchen equipped with everything.
On our arrival we found the fireplace lit and cups and biscuits ready for a cup of tea, which was a lovely welcome from the homeowners Lesley and Fred.
The village is small and pretty and there are a couple of shops and a very good cheese shop and a pub where we enjoyed a very nice dinner.
Beautiful countryside with easy walks.
Thank you very much Lesley and Fred, we hope to come back soon.

Thank you for your review, so pleased you enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding area. Lesley & Fred
