Home description

Bluebell Cottage is a pretty 17th Century cottage, formerly a pub. It is equipped and furnished to an extremely high standard and many original features and beams have been retained. It nestles in a quiet street in the centre of Tideswell close to real local shops, tearooms and pubs and is superbly located for walking and visting an abundance of Peak District attractions
The walled garden is private and has garden furniture and a BBQ, there is also a large shed for storing bikes.The Monsal Trail and many other walks are nearby.

Well Dressings-. well dressings take place in around 20 villages during the summer . Each village creates its own pictures on boards of puddled clay using petals, seeds and other fruits of the earth. The well dressings are displayed and blessing ceremonies are held in celebration.
Walk the Dales - Kinder Scout which at 2088 feet is the summit of the National Park and the start of the Pennine Way. Dovedale , Monsal Dale and Lathkill Dale
Shopping - Local shopping is excellent in Tideswell and the local market towns of Chesterfield, Bakewell and Buxton. Sheffield, Manchester or Derby are a 45 min drive

Tideswell is a quaint and bustling village with a fine range of real shops which stock fresh local produce and its fine church dedicated so Sy John the Baptist is known as the Cathedral of the Peak. It is a uniquely self sufficient community which has preserved and protected all aspects of its rural heritage.It is very well placed for visits tot he abundance of peak district attractions
The local villages surrounding Tideswell are strongly individual and within 2 miles of the cottage you can visit Litton with a group of cottages around the stocks on the village green and the village of Cressbrook perched precariously on the hillside above Water-Cum- Jolly, Millers Dale and the River Wye.
