The Heart of England/Peak District

The Peak District and Derbyshire is a contrast of high rolling moorland, craggy outcrops and picture post card vales and valleys with 'chocolate box' villages.
The whole area is dominated by Britain's first national park; The Peak District National Park which has been catering for visitors for many years. It's easy to get around with a good network of roads and excellent public transport.
There are many places of interest including some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne as well as historical attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
To the north of the region is the High Peak, with miles of heather moorland and great country walks and cycling.

To really appreciate the stunning views surrounding Hayfield View, many guests may wish to explore the rolling countryside around the property. The area is great for those seeking an 'outdoor' break, with plenty of opportunities for horse-riding, walking, climbing and mountain biking. Just a short walk away from the property is Kinder Scout, the highest gritstone peak in the Peak District.
Alternatively, the area is also rich with cultural and historical highlights, such as nearby Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton and Edale, all of which would make a great day out. Hayfield itself is just a mile away from Hayfield View; the nearest pub is a mere five minutes' walk from the property. For those hoping for a little more excitement, New Mills Central Station is just a few miles away from Hayfield and connects directly to Manchester and Sheffield.

"What a view"

We stayed here for my Wife's Birthday weekend,& what a good choice we made. The owners who live next to the property were very attentive ,when we finally arrived, got just a little misled by satnav: Linda was there to greet us and show us round the property, which was immaculate .she had even left a birthday card, a bottle of wine, and chocolates for us ,there was also a starter basket with bread cereals , biscuits, and in the fridge there was butter and milk. When you sit at the table there is the most fantastic view of the peaks, it was wonderful to sit and take in the beauty of it walk to Kinder Scout you just go out the gate at the back of the property ,you don't even have to cross any roads, and that's the only downside is the main road that leads to Glossop , the property is directly on the road. We had a fantastic weekend ,and Linda and Kieth could not have done more to make our stay remember able .we would highly recommend Hayfield View.
