Bungalow | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 9
A modern chalet bungalow with panoramic sea views. Set in it's own 2 acres of grounds, Seascape Lodge sits above Whitepark Bay on Northern Ireland's beautiful Causeway Coast and is only 5 minutes walk to the beach. The property is located close to the Giants Causway world heritage site, Bushmills with its world famous whisky distillery and Royal Portrush Golf Club.
With 5 Bedrooms (4 with sea views), 3 bathrooms, lounge and sunroom both with sea views, the Lodge comes with all the facilities required for a fantastic stay on the Causeway coast. Whether you are visiting all the nearby places of interest, enjoying the outdoors (walking, cycling, surfing or golfing) or just relaxing on the property's decked patio/BBQ area overlooking the sea, Seascape Lodge has everything you need.
Enjoy watching the sun rise over Rathlin Island in the morning and setting over the Causway headland and Atlantic ocean all from the comfort of the deck and large front garden.
The 1st floor of the house has the master bedroom with king sized bed, a double bedroom and a large bathroom with shower. The ground floor has another twin bedded bedroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. The single and double bedroom share an ensuite toilet/shower room and there is also a further large family bathroom with shower. The ground floor accomodation is completed by a lounge (with stove) connecting through to the sun room, (we have recently installed an additional new log stove in the sunroom to make that area extra snug in the winter months), large modern kitchen with dining area and connecting utility/wet room with an additional toilet.
Please note that the minimum booking is generally for 3 nights, but 2 nights will be considered for famillies, outdoor pursuit enthusiasts and leisure breaks for more mature groups. We do not cater for what we would term "partying" weekends. 2 night breaks would attract a minimum rate of £400 depending on the season, please contact us for prices.

The Causeway Coast is the location of the Giants Causeway World Heritage site.
Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast & Glens – an area whose breathtaking and rugged coastline merges into the romantic landscape of its deep silent glens and lush forest parks. The wonders don't stop there as the region has been made famous by the Causeway Coastal Route which is seen as 'One of the World's Great Road Journeys' and one of the most outstanding scenic touring drives in the world.
Fish and tackle supplies in Main Street. Fishing permits available here also. River Bush runs through Bushmills and fishing permits are needed to fish for a variety of fish and in particular the salmon which appear at the bridge or salmon leap. Fishing rods for children (approximate cost £ 10 ) have successfully caught fish from the sea off the rocks at Dunseverick and Balintoy Harbours.
The Giant's Causeway visitor's centre is just 4 miles away by road although the Causeway cliff top path runs between the Causeway and Dunseverick Castle. The coastal path runs west from Whitepark Beach (10min Walk from the lodge) to Portbradden Harbour, Dunseverick Castle and on to the Causeway or east to Ballintoy harbour (with a welcoming coffee shop) and on to the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (National trust coffee shop). The coastal path runs for approximately 18 miles in total. with spectacular views of the coast, Rathlin Island, the Mull of Kintyre and the Scottish islands of Islay and Jura.
The Causeway Rambler bus runs hourly along a circular route from Bushmills to Carrick-a-rede throughout the summer permitting visitors with a hop-on, hop-off opportunity. The bus stops at the bottom of Moycraig Road.
The harbour provides the opportunity to while away a few hours watching small fishing boats bringing home the catch of the day or children dangling crab lines over the harbour wall. A small museum provides visitors with a chance to see interesting artefacts of by-gone days. If you are feeling a bit more active you could take a swim in the rock pool near the harbour or walk further along the coastal path which will lead you the 1.5 miles to Portbradden harbour - a small row of brightly coloured cottages and where the smallest Church in Ireland can be visited.
There are a number of excellent golf courses within easy travelling distance of the Lodge including the Royal Portrush Golf Course which is one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world. Also nearby is Portstewart Golf Club which has 45 holes over 3 courses, CastleRock G.C , Ballycastle G.C. and closer still is Bushfoot Golf Club or Grace Hill an American styled parklands course.
Horse riding is available at a number of venues nearby including the Island Equestrian Centre near Coleraine and MaddyBenny Stud.
Cycle along the local coastline and you will be rewarded by magnificent views of Rathlin Island, making short detours to explore quaint harbours and beautiful beaches and enjoy ancient ruins and dramatic cliff scenery.
You can obtain a guide to cycling in Northern Ireland from Belfast Welcome Centre 028 9024 6609 and a guide to cycling in the Borough of Coleraine from Coleraine Tourist Information Centre 028 7034 4723
Surfing is good and safest on Portrush's East or West Strands, both of which are patrolled by life guards in season. Equipment and lessons are avaialble from the surf shops in Portrush.

"Accommodation was excellent"
Our family enjoyed a lovely weekend. It was a family get together to celebrate my husband's birthday. The accommodation was as described and suited us perfectly. With many bathrooms and loos there was no queue in the morning. The views were unrivaled. Attractions were not too far away and there were a variety of places to eat. I have already recommended this accommodation to several people. We are hoping to go back for a week long stay later in the year. The only negative comment was that we were not staying longer.
