"This was a great holiday, in a luxurious cottage in a beautiful setting."

We had a great holiday. The cottage was very luxurious, and very well appointed, with every convenience. The kitchen was excellent, & television etc state of the art.The whole complex, set in a quadrangle of old farm buildingswas beautiful, with lovingly tended gardens, and there was a games room etc as well. The area was amazinging for people who like the outdoors, as we do: set adjacent to an Suffolk county nature reserve on the river Lark, with lakes and woodland. There is a circular walk round the other side of the river Lark, through a piece of the old Breckland woodland, that is magical.

If you need the city, Bury St. Edmonds, Cambridge & Newmarket are within easy driving distance, with Bury being the closest, with convenient shopping.

"Lovely relaxing stay"

We stayed in Lark Lodge, in Lackford Lakes Barns, for three nights, as a group of seven women aged between 14 and 70. The setting is lovely, very secluded and quiet with a nature reserve just a few mi… More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your comments. We have a new flat screen TV to go into Lark Lodge and your comment has spurred me to get it changed over asap. We'll take on board your comments about an additional soft chair for the sitting room. I'm so sorry you were disturbed by neighbours on one of the nights. I have spoken with them about this because I too was disturbed and I am confident that this will not be a recurring problem. I was quite surprised that you had problems finding us and it makes me wonder if perhaps you didn't receive our access statement which we generally send out once the balancing payment is received, it details directions, post code and key safe numbers. Thank you very much for writing your review, we do appreciate it.

"Wonderful break"

We had a wonderful week's holiday staying at Curlew Cottage near Lackford Lakes. The complex was gated which was of great benefit as a toddler was in our party. The Cottage was designed and decorated to an extremely high standard. It was equipment with a fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cooker, flat screen TV, DVD player, dish washer and ample cutlery and crockery. The lounge was spacious for the four adults and baby we had in our party. The two toilets were most welcome fo rthe changing of the baby. A lovely tranquil break with access to short walks around the lakes. Will recommend to friends and hopefully book up again for next year.
