Barn | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 5
The Barn, attached to Church Farm, can be found in the picturesque and peaceful village of Burrington. The property itself has views to the south of the 13th century Parish Church and far reaching views of the Mendips. The property has been refurbished to a high standard.
On the ground floor guests can relax in the lounge with its double height ceilings by the open fire after a long walk in the Mendips and enjoy the uninterrupted views from the French windows on to the gardens and paddock. The hall leads to a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds which can be reconfigured to make a king on request.
Through the bedroom there is an ensuite wet room. Across the hallway is a kitchen with a breakfast bar where views of the garden can be enjoyed. The kitchen comes stocked with a few larder essentials ; oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, some herbs and homemade granola and muesli.
On the first floor is a double bedroom in the eves with views of the stars from the windows. There is a further seating area in the mezzanine with 'daybed' style sofa that can be used as a single bed to sleep an additional guest.
All the beds have been dressed with premium quality cotton bedlinen and have mattress toppers to ensure the finest nights sleep.
We supply maps of local walks in the area and are always on hand for any queries. We have 2 young children and a babysitter who we regularly use should you require childcare.
We have a paddock and some stabling for horses, should you be interested this can be arranged on request.
For your convenience, a home cooked 2 - course evening meal can be prepared and bought to your room for you and your family/friends to enjoy ( 24 hours notice required - Cost per head £12 per adult, £6 per child ).

"Perfect peaceful getaway"
The barn was so beautiful.. the renovation really looks amazing and the owners are so helpful and welcoming. Little touches like the complementary foods and helpful advice were so lovely to receive. The surroundings of the barn are stunning and from the living room you can see the horses in the fields! :)
We were a group of 5 (age range 20-74, + a dog) and all really enjoyed our relaxing stay! There were some lovely walks to go on and the living area we so cosy snd comfortable when we wanted a rest.
We hope to go back!

"Beautiful property & location - welcoming hosts - great base for Bristol"
This was a great place for our stay over a few days visiting Bristol. Bristol had lots to do & the scenery near this accommodation is very beautiful.
The barn is tastefully decorated, it looks out through a very large picture window (/glass wall) to a back garden with lovely trees, chickens & wonderful sunset over the fields. There was a lovely welcome basket including homemade bread, jam, marmalade and fresh eggs. We booked at short notice, but this was no problem & Simon couldn't have been more helpful. The living space is spacious, and it is clean & smart. The only downsides were that layout was not perfect for young children, eg steep steps between ground floor (with one bedroom & bathroom) & upstairs (with other bedroom/mezzanine) & as a number of windows look out to neighbouring house with no curtains, privacy could be an issue for some.
We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this lovely property.
Thank you very much for your feedback and taking the time to write a review which is appreciated. We have taken note and added curtains to the mezzanine window which you mentioned and thank you for being such lovely guests. We hope to welcome you and the family in the future.
with best wishes,
Sonya & Simon
