We stayed in Delph Cottage in August 2012 for 7 nights. We had a great time, the cottage was all that was advertised and more. The cottage is very spacious, all the rooms were well furnished and clean. It was an ideal base to see surrounding countryside such as the Lake District, Blackpool and Manchester. Also, the surroundings was peaceful and restful and if you like reading, then there was some excellent novels to choose from. Clare the owner was very accomodating and welcoming. We would like to thank her and her staff the wonderful and pleasant time we had and would recommend this cottage to others as a great place to stay. Response: So glad you enjoyed you stay hope to see you again |

We are a family of 7 and found this to be a fantastic property. The decor is a high standard, and the furniture is good quality. We loved the feeling of space in the property, as the living areas both downstairs and upstairs are wide and open. there was plenty of room for 5 kids to play without getting under each others feet, and plenty of space for the extra 11 family members who came to visit for the day. All the essential things were very good- kitchen well stocked with plenty of space; great showers; comfortable beds; plenty of towels and linen; and all in a lovely setting. The cottage opens on to the herd house yard, and there is plenty of space for parking. The Tesco delivery man also found a space for his lorry! The owners are very friendly, and the children loved being able to go into the stables to see the horses and ponies; they made friends with the dogs, and were able to visit and play with the new puppies which really made their holiday! The Pendleton valley is a beautiful location, and for our city-bred children it was a chance to spend all day safely outdoors. We have stayed in these cottages twice, and have booked again for October, it's the only place we have ever returned to! |
