The Town of Burnham dates from the 13th Century when a local landowner was granted a charter to hold markets. There are many fine historic buildings and an ancient quay where you can relax with a drink, enjoy the lovely views and watch seafarers on the river.

Burnham on Crouch

You can stroll along the quayside or take to the water on a cruise to see the local seals. or housed in the former boatyard is the towns museum. Also worth visiting is the medieval church of St Marys.

Depending on your time of visit, In June there is the Art trail. In August, there is Burnham week (known to be 2nd to Cowes week), and in September there is the carnival.
