About the home

An ideal home and base to explore the wonderful region of Tuscany. The rolling hills, vinyards and famous Olive oil production is all within 10 minutes drive of your home. The property is based in the picturesque village of Bounconvento with its jasmine scented walkways, cafe bars, little boutiques and trattorias offering a glimpse of time gone by.
The theme of the this holiday is good living. History, culture, cuisine, wine, walking and relaxation.
Visit the local fruit and veg shop and purchase fresh local cuisine to conjure up a delicious feast to dine on your terrace. Relax by the pool or explore the near by vinyards and olive groves in Moltacino, just 10 minutes drive from your home where the famous Brunello di Moltacino grape is waiting to be sampled.

We first visited the area 7 years ago, marrying in near by Siena in the magnificent campo (piazza) and have returned every year since. The local welcome has to be seen to be believed!
Florence, Siena, San Gimiagano, Moltacino etc are all within easy reach from 1 hour to 10 mintues from your holiday home.
But be warned, once Tuscany has ensnared you, it has you for life.

3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin room make it an excellent base for families or couples (please see our family package rates!)
The bathroom features a bath, wc and bidet and is kept spotlessly clean.
The living room features dining for 6, 2 sofas seating 6 guests and a feature fireplace for cold winter nights!
Tv with italian satellite which includes music channels.
The tradtional kitchen contains an oven, 4 ring hob, fridge, freezer and basic cooking utensils.
The terrace includes dining for 6 to enable you to eat alfresco during the long summer bestowed upon the area.

Main road from Rome to Siena runs outside property for easy access to all tourist destinations.

Lazy summer lunches, hill top towns to explore and lose yourself in, cafe culture galore, gelatarias, boutiques, musuems, churches and much more.
You get the drift, like culture, scenery, food and wine-love tuscany!

The Buonconvento area

Bounconvento is a sleepy village which has almost stood still in time. Jasmine scented cobbled walk ways, fruit and veg shops selling delicious regional produce, pretty mini piazza, relaxing restaurants, an impressive church, weekly market. A village where nothing much happens and therein is its charm and attraction.
Watch the locals, welcoming beyond belief, lift your spirits as they meander through life with an espresso here, a little "saunter" through the village and a 3 hour discussion on there favourite topic namely "dinner!"
You can't help but fall in love with the little village community where the local constabulary are on first names terms with the locals, the local leather hand bag designer will leave the women all misty eyed over her designs at the local boutique. Or the local bakery who lovingly create delicious cakes and pastries before delicately wrapping them in a bow for you to show off to the family at the end of a delicious tuscan supper!
Welcome to Bounconvento. A village that gives you a glimpse of how life could be somelike years ago but somehow still manages to find its way into the 21st century with cars and mobile phones!
