About the home

A characteristic house split into 2 apartments sleeping 6 guests per apartment. The property has been tastefully furnished with comfy sofa's, traditional dining tables (living room and kitchen) and 3 double bedrooms with ample wardrobe space. The property features 2 bathrooms, 1 with shower and 1 with bath and a terrace for alfresco dining.
The pool area boasts plenty of sunloungers for relaxation in the sun.
Situated between Siena ( 20 mins drive) and Moltacino for wine lovers (10 mins drive), the main road from Siena to Rome runs right outside the residence so you can access all local attractions with ease.
For those wishing to arrive without a car, the local train station can be found close by however car hire is recommended to help you get the most from your stay!

The local supermarket, fruit and veg stores grocery stores serve up fresh, local ingredients. Olive oil and Chianti from the region can be found in abundance here making a chef out of any novice!
Restaurants and trattorias are not to be missed. We will be happy to supply a list of our favourites from value to
superb views and wonderous wine lists!

The Tuscany / Siena Province region

Tuscany, what can be written that hasn't already? Miles of rolling green hills, a sun kissed climate, world renowned cuisine, vinyards and Olive oil to die for. If good food and wine, glorious summer days, walks, cafe culture, history and culture is your bag you won't go wrong with tuscany. Florence, Siena, Moltacino, San Gimigiano are all names synoumous with culture, history and individual beauty. What's more they are all within an hour of your property here. Lazy days wine tasting in Chianti or Moltacino. Long lunches eating seasonal produce like ravioli with ricotta and basil with a light tomato sauce set amongst a mouth droppingly beautiful back drop of the rolling tuscan hills. Be warned though, once visited, you'll be forever smitten!

The Buonconvento area

Bounconvento can be found off the main road from Siena to Rome. A little picturesque village where time has seemingly stood still. Jasmine scented cobbled walkways, cafe bars, delicious trattorias serving tuscan specialities, fresh home made ice cream from the gelataria, bakery, fruit and veg plus little boutiques selling locally made leather hand bags to cashmere scarves for the winter. Monte Oliveto with its inspriring abbey and secnery is just 10 minutes drive from your apartment.

We came here for our honeymoon 7 years ago and have returned every year since! Despite visiting many parts of Italy Bounconvento remains a favourite. The welcoming locals ( it has to be seen to be belived!), the sheer beauty of the surrounding rolling hills, the delicious fayre from Ribolita bean soup to Wild boar ragu with tagliatelle or the cantuccio almond biscotti dipped in vin santo to round off a memorable meal!

The home is very accessible to all Moltacino, for the wine and Olive Oil is just a 10 minute drive from your home as the main road to Rome from Siena passes outside your door.
We can recommend our favourite wineries to ensure you get the most from your stay!
The train to Siena runs behind the accommodation (the station is 5 minutes walk) which is unmissable with its shell shaped piazza, boutiques, cathederals and churches. Probably as beautiful city as you will see in Italy by my reckoning!

Guestbook for Chuisone Sopra

A lovely spot to explore the vinyards, villages and of course restaurants of Tuscany!
My lasting impression will be of the jasmine scented village. The locals were fascinating (and friendly!)
The pace of life here is virtually at standstill.
Loved the accommodation and pool! Luisa (host) is very accommodating,

IThoroughly recommend the home and the friendly locals here in Bounconvento. The village certainly boasts an authentic feel with superb restaurants at decent prices, not something we always find in Italy. Superbly located to reach the village, Moltacino for wine tasting and Siena. Would definitely recommend to friends.
