About the home

This large apartment of approximately 90sqm has a sunny central room combining a dining area with a large table and chairs where guests can enjoy meals cooked in their own fully-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living area with sofas. Two further guests can also be accommodated here on the sofa bed.

There are two bedrooms, one a double and one with twin beds (can be joined together) and two bathrooms with showers. The apartment can sleep up to 6.

Like the other apartments this one has a private outdoor terrace furnished with table and chairs, a lovely place for al fresco meals or an evening drink.

Other facilities are central heating, satellite television, DVD player and a washing machine shared with the other 2 apartments.

The Tuscany / Siena Province region

Tuscany, which is a popular location to visit for ordinary people as well as celebrities, offers a multitude of contrasts with its medieval, Gothic and Renaissance art and architecture.The local terrain consisting of mountains with crisp peaks presiding over valleys and streets lined with modern outlets selling the latest fashion together with art galleries where you can purchase painting and local craft.

The Buonconvento area

To reach this little tranquil place, founded in the Middle Ages, lying on a plain hidden behind walls that shelter it. Its history records reveal that the Emperor Henry VII died in Buonconvento in the 14th century. Therefore hopes of taking Tuscany faded at least for a while.
Among its highlights there are two museums that should be visited on a trip to Tuscany:
Its Museo della Mezzadria Senese (tel. 0577 80 90 75; Via Tinaia del Taja; closed Mon) showcases life-sized figures and ancient farm tools and machinery and gives a modern insight by multimedia equipment showing how life was led by farmers.
The Museo d'Arte Sacra (tel. 0577 80 71 90, Via Soccini 18; closed Mon Apr-Sep, open Sat and Sun Oct–Mar) has a collection containing religious art belonging to churches in Buonconvento and hamlets around it.
