The Donegal region
The West of Ireland conjures up many images: thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
Buncrana is a coastal town in County Donegal, home to art studios and traditional craft workshops and lovely beaches dotted along the coast. Glenveagh National Park is approximately an hour's drive away and you can also travel over to Derry for a day trip.
