The Builth Wells area
Hafan Llewelyn self-catering cottage is located a short walking distance from the local pub and train station in Cilmery, 2 miles from Builth Wells. The village is famous for being close to the spot where the last native Prince of Wales of direct descent, Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, was slain in a skirmish by soldiers in the service of Edward I of England, on 11 December 1282. A memorial stone to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd was erected on the site in 1956 and serves as the focal point for the annual remembrance day.
The cottage is situated close to the Royal Welsh Showground, the Elan Valley Dams and an excellent 18 hole golf course. Many other activities are catered for locally including Mountain Biking, Fishing, Pony Trekking and walking in the Brecon Beacons. There are also good eating places in the vicinity serving local produce.

FAB FAB FAB.... Lovely clean cottage with plenty of room for a large family. Hot Tub very nice, even the children had a turn. Breathtaking views of the open sky in the night from the Hot Tub!
Only little issue was that there was no phone signal in or around the cottage!
