The Island of Malta region
Malta, officially the Republic of Malta (Maltese: Repubblika ta' Malta), is a small and densely populated island nation comprising an archipelago of seven islands, three of which are inhabited. It is located in the Mediterranean Sea in Southern Europe just 93 km (58 mi) south of Sicily, giving the country a warm, Mediterranean climate, and 288 km (179 mi) to its south is North Africa.[1][2] The nation's de facto capital city is the historic Valletta.
Throughout much of its history, Malta has been considered a crucial strategic location due in large part to its position in the Mediterranean Sea.[3] It was held by several ancient cultures including Sicilians, Romans, Phoenicians, Byzantines and others. The island is commonly associated with the Knights of St. John who ruled it. This, along with the historic Biblical shipwreck of St. Paul on the island, ingrained the strong Roman Catholic legacy which is still the official and most practised religion in Malta today.
The country's official languages are Maltese and English, the latter a legacy from Malta's period as a British colony – the United Kingdom is the most recent outside ruling power. Malta gained independence in 1964 and is currently a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, as well as the European Union which it joined in 2004.
Bugibba / St Paul's Bay area
St Paul's Bay (San Pawl il-Baħar in Maltese) is situated in the north east of the island of Malta, sixteen kilometres from the capital city Valletta.
Its name refers to the shipwreck of Saint Paul, as documented in the Acts of the Apostles, due to the tradition that Saint Paul was shipwrecked on the isles, named St. Paul's Isles, which are situated in St Paul's Bay.
The localities of Burmarrad, Qawra, Buġibba, Xemxija, Mselliet, and San Martin as well as part of Bidnija and Mistra, form part of the San Pawl il-Baħar Local Council. The area of the locality is 14.47km².
The resident population in November 2005 stood at 13,619 persons. This population goes up to about 60,000 during the period of June to September. The increase is due both to Maltese summer residents and tourists lodging in hotels, especially in Buġibba and Qawra.

What does the kitchen include? Full size gas cooker, refrigerator, pots & pans, cutlery, etc.
Are bed sheets, towels etc. provided? Bed sheets, towels & blankets are provided. These are changed every 7 days
Is there a television in the apartment? YES. Every apartment has got a TV. This is optional at €1.50 daily.
How many floors are there, is there a lift? There are 5 floors all served by a lift.
Are there laundry facilities? The launderette is just round the corner from Falcon Court .
At what time may we check in / out? Check in time is 15.00 Hours & check out time is 12.00 Hours. However, we always extend the time to your favor if the apartment is available.
How can I make a booking? Simply fill in the online booking form. We will then confirm your booking, subject to availability.
May I book a particular apartment? Most times we cannot guarantee a particular apartment number or a particular floor.
Are consumables included in the price? These are self-catering apartments. Soap, sponge, additional toilet paper, garbage bags etc. are to be bought by yourselves.
