The large balcony of this apartment has stunning, panoramic views from the mountains to the sea from its position on the first floor of a modern Mediterranean villa. It has its own entrance gate, driveway and outside staircase. The villa's large swimming pool (11.5 x 4.5m) is for the sole use of the apartment guests. You also have complete freedom to walk through the villa's two acres of Mediterranean gardens with an abundance of orange, lemon, almond and wild olive trees and also wild orchids in the spring.
The villa is located on the outskirts of Buger, one of the few unspoilt, traditional Mallorcan villages. The village (5 mins walk) is located on a small hill, topped by the church, local amenities include a small supermarket, bank, chemist, Post Office, bars/restaurants, bakery and a Saturday morning market. The English owners live on the ground floor with their 2 friendly dogs and are happy to assist you with sightseeing ideas and directions.

The twin beds join up to become a king-sized bed and the sofa bed opens out to a very comfortable double bed. The king/twin bedroom en-suite has a shower over the bath & the double bedroom ensuite has a shower there is also a small safe in the bedroom. All bedrooms have lockable doors & windows onto the large balcony and the sitting room has patio doors to the large balcony and also a smaller balcony at the rear overlooking a wooded area giving total privacy. The kitchen also opens out to the small rear balcony and has a two ring electric hob but no oven, the microwave also being a grill and oven.

The garden is shared with the owners of the villa and there is a boules court with gazebo and chairs. The pool is for the private use of guests only & there are sun loungers, table & chairs. The large balcony has a small planted flower bed which is only around a metre high forming part of the railings - see photo - and could, therefore, be deemed unsuitable for small children. There is a gas BBQ, table, chairs & umbrella on the balcony. The apartment is unsuitable for wheelchair users, or the infirm, as the apartment is on the first floor and access is by an outside stone stairway. Smoking allowed on the balcony outside only, no pets.
Check-in any time after 3pm and check out by 10am. Can be flexible on dates and times.
The Balearic Islands region
Mallorca is a very beautiful, diverse, cosmopolitan island. The whole island only takes 1.5 hours to drive from north to south and has plenty of lovely places to visit from churches, museums, vineyards and markets to water parks and golf courses. There are beaches within 20 minutes of the apartment. Buger is a small, traditional village in the north of the island with the dramatic Tramuntana range to the west, various beaches to the north & the Llevant mountains to the east, all can be seen from the balcony as the villa is on the edge of the village.
There is walking, riding, cycling, swimming, climbing, caving, diving and all types of sailing to be had within 20 minutes of the apartment. There is a Wildlife Conservation Centre (Black Vultures,etc) within walking distance and many species of birds can be seen/heard from the balcony, e.g. stone curlews, nightingales, etc. Pollenca golf club is a 15 minute drive & Alcanada golf club 20 minutes. It is a 5 minute walk to the village amenities- a small supermarket, bank, chemist, Post Office, bar, restaurant, bakery and a Saturday morning market. The train runs from nearby Sa Pobla, or Inca, to Palma & also there is a village bus service.

"Spectacular sunrises at Ca'n Papello"
Ca'n Papello is a wonderfull place to stay, the apartment is bright airey and immaculately clean with everything you will need for a very comfortable holiday. The views are stunning. Nearest large supermarket is on the outskirts of Sa Pobla which is hastle free and approximately 10 mins by car. Buger is a lovely village where you can sit and have a coffee and a cake at the local pasteleria. There is a very good train service which you can get from Sa pobla or Inca which will take you to Palma.
John and Diana are very friendly and accommodating and are there for any advice on where to shop, eat, places of interest etc.
We all had a lovely holiday and would recommend anyone to stay, especially if you want to witness the most amazing sunrises.

"Just perfect in every way"
The accomodation was just perfect for us and our two boys. The villa had everything we could wish for and more, lots of home comforts thought of. The view and terrace are beautiful, as is the pool. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped throughout. The owners were the perfect hosts - close by if you needed anything but not at all intrusive. Great central location, near main road links to get out and about in a hire car. Lovely accomodation for peaceful, relaxing, quality family time.

"Beautiful place , Lovely views , Fantastic owners!"
We stayed at 2 different places in majorca and this was by far the loveliest and brightened up our holiday. It is lovely and bright with amazing views . We arrived to the nice touch of home made lemon curd, home made cake , freshly squeezed orange juice and wine....we were truly spoiled!
It was so picturesque that to wake up in the morning without even getting out of bed and see that view was very theraputic.
Rooms are incredibly clean and decorated nicely. We found it spacious and the huge balcony is a plus as you can sit there and hear the clang of bells from the sheep in the distance and maybe even spot a vulture, eagle ,kestel or bat (as there is a sanctuary safe distance away!). Plenty of books and dvds too. You can also pick fruit and play bowles in the garden.The pool is lovely and clean and a great size too although i did not brave it when i went as it was october and a bit fresh for me. I am not really a dog lover either but found the dogs did not even try to come upstairs to us and were no problem whatsoever .
Although having a supermarket, restaurant and bars in walking distance, Buger was a bit quiet for me, so was pleased that we had a car but again was lovely to come home after a day out to and by car there are many places in easy reach.
We did keep ourselves to ourselves a bit during the week and John and Diana were incredibly nice and have a tremendous balance as they are there if you needed them but not intrusive at all and they can't do enough to help if you ask. We had a car crash out there (you really need to get insured to the maximum in majorca , i would say 8 out of every 10 cars has a dent in it so be warned!!). Anyway, we were hit by a car that ran a stop sign on our last day and John and Diana were beyond helpful. They went and got photocopies of documents for us and really helped a lot. My son also damaged something and they were so nice......i know everyone says it but they are really amazing people!
Must do's here are , you MUST MUST MUST go to Menestralia in Campanet (eat all you want and free bottle wine and quite close to where you are staying). It is where all the locals go which speaks mountains! Also Caves de drach were amazing as was alcudia beach.
So 5 out of 5 from us all and hope to come back again soon.

Beautiful part of Mallorca, off the beaten track wth views off mountains and sea that are breath taking. Hosts are superb and villa is set in stunning grounds sat underneath Buger town.

"A taste of true Mallorca"
This was set on the edge of the lovely unspoilt village of Buger. The apartment is on the first floor of the villa which afford amazing views across the island towards the East with the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana behind. Just wake up in a morning and walk on the terrace and all you can hear are the cockerels crowing in the distance and the clank of the bells on the sheep/goats. The owners John and Diana live on the ground floor and to be honest before arriving this was a concern as you wonder if you will have the privacy and be able to do as you please. We have to say that having them there was only a positive, they will be as chatty as you want them to be but if you want to be left alone they will totally respect this. The positives were that they were unbelievably helpful from showing us where the best supermarket was (John even drove me there on the first day) to how to operate air con etc. Also they kept the pool spotless which was in a lovely setting and we struggled to keep our son out of it. The central location of Buger meant it was ideal for trips to many areas. Pollenca and especially Soller are a must. On the way into Soller you should make sure you visit Fornalutx (which rightly earns its title of prettiest village in Spain). Also just above there on the main mountain road is a must visit restaurant (sadly forgotten the name) which has amazing views down to Port de Soller. Port de Pollenca is also a lovely place to visit with a narrow, but lovely beach and a nice promenade. We also did the drive to the Cap de Formentor, our advice is only do it if you are feeling courageous as it is a very windy road with very steep drops.

If you want lovely peaceful holiday away from resorts, other people's children and the hiustle and bustle this is perfect. We've always done packages before, but never really enjoyed them because of these things. Set within easy walking distance of Buger which is a lovely unspoilt little village where you can get everything you need - bar, supermarket etc. Car essential though to get around. Accommodation very well equipped and owners delightful. Going back next year.
