The Central Argentina region

Buenos Aires is young and though full of history. Its architecture is beautiful. It has a strong cultural life. There is always something new happening every day. Every corner of the city has its secrets and beauty. The more you stay, the better you love it. December and January are usually hot (average 30ºC) and June, July and August are colder but seldom below 4ºC. The most beautiful time to visit the city is in Spring (September to December) and in Autumn (April to June) when the city is covered in gold. Nearly all the streets are lined with trees, mainly jacarandas, palos borrachos, tipas and apaches. So Spring is glorious. By late October, the jacarandas color the streets with fluorescent blue, when the lapachos have already taken their share with rose.

Buenos Aires

Recoleta has a great amount of touristic attractions, but it is also the upscale area of the city. The building is surrounded by elegant shops, two sophisticated malls, many museums, the famous Cemetery and its splendid church Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the fair on week ends, and the Parks only two blocks away. Downtown is a few minutes away, and so is the financial center. Do not miss the huge gomeros along the Alvear avenue and the Café La Biela.
