About the home

The villa is very spacious and has panoramic views of the green hills and valleys of the golf course and the surrounding countryside. The large pool, shared between 4 villas, has jacuzzi, outside shower and a large sunbathing area and the villa's private patio with BBQ, various verandas and roof terrace ensure sun at all times of the day.

The superb facilities of Parque da Floresta golf and leisure resort make this an ideal base for golf and family holiday. Apart from superior golf (Villa guests receive a discount of 40% on golf fees) golf tuition & shop the resort offers floodlit tennis courts & tuition, bowling, kid's clubs, babysitting service, playgrounds, football academy, scuba diving courses, health & beauty spa, restaurants, bars, 24 hr. reception and heated outdoor and indoor pools.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

This is a unspoilt natural park area which stretches westwards to Sagres/Cape St. Vincent and then north towards Lisbon with miles and miles of towering cliffs, beaches and coastal villages with colourful picture postcard scenery to discover for yourself. The rugged west coast with its challenging Atlantic waves is very popular with surfers and with scores of clifftop walks the whole area is paradise for bird watchers, nature lovers and photographers.

Inland the hills are covered the cork and oak forests and the Monchique Mountain area has villages, scenery and local crafts largely unchanged by time with breathtaking scenery overlooking the whole south eastern corner and coastline.

The wonderful climate with hot summers, tempered by gentle sea breezes, and mild winters with year round sunshine makes it perfect for golfers and an attractive away from it all destination at any time of year.

The Budens / Parque da Floresta area

There is such a lot to do in the area if you can prise yourselves away from the huge variety of leisure activities available in the resort.

The beautiful beaches, a few minutes drive away, are a great attraction and they do not get too crowded as in the large resorts to the east. Small beach bars and restaurants offer shade and refreshment while you slow down and relax, and the clifftop and coastal walks are a wonderful way to get away from it all.

The nearby village of Budens, 2 km, has a good supermarket, petrol, bakery, restaurants and small shops.
Several unspoilt beaches are 3 km and the beautiful coastline of the natural park stretches westwards with miles of cliffs and coves and small fishing villages.

At Praia da Luz , just 10 km away, all kinds of watersports & tuition and kid's days are available, as well as shopping, restaurants & bars.

The lovely town of Lagos is 15 minutes by car. The 14th century town walls are still in evidence as is the fort and slave market and lots of other attractive and historic buildings. Lagos has shopping, lots of restaurants and bars, banks and large marina. from where you can take boat trips to see the caves and dolphins. Lagos has a large daily fish market offering an amazing array of fish and a weekly fruit and vegetable market with a wonderful diversity of local produce sold by the local farmers. Both are well worth a visit.

Lagos Zoo is very popular and there are several waterparks, Zoomarine, Slide & Splash and Aqualand, within easy reach.

There is an excellent choice of other golf courses nearby: Boa Vista Golf Resort about 10 minutes away, Palmares, Penina Golf, Alto Golf, Pinta, Gramacho and Vale de Milho less than 20 minutes, and there are many more prime golf courses within an hour's drive.
Visitors are welcome and lessons are available on all courses, most of which require a handicap certificate and normal course etiquette.
