Home description
Entering the house on the upper level there is a fully fitted kitchen, with all the utensils that you require. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room and lounge. This area has a separate washroom facility. The balcony accessed from the lounge and dining area offers panoramic views of the local countryside and the sea. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one with kingsize bed and en-suite, patio doors lead into the garden. The second bedroom with twin beds has its own bathroom. Both rooms have mirrored wardrobes and dressing tables. A communal pool and children's pool is available for guests, heated from Easter to October. The property is part of the Parque da Floresta leisure complex, which has to offer, apart from the magnificent golf course, the golf academy, bowling, tennis, archery, a fitness centre and the indulgent Spa, complete with indoor and outdoor heated pools. There are bars and restaurants along side. Horseriding can be arranged from reception. Guests at QDM enjoy a 30% reduction on green fees.

The Algarve region
The Algarve coastline stretches from the Spanish border in the east along to Cape St. Vincent, the most south westerly point in Europe. Magnificent beaches with their fishing villages are all along this coastline. Heading up the west coast away from Cape St. Vincent the coastline gets more dramatic, with cliffs and sandy beaches , many practically deserted. QDM 14 is only 3 kms from the beaches of Salema and Burgau, safe for swimming and sunbathing. Both have lovely restaurants. Luz bay only 5 kms away has a magnificent beach and all facilities. Lagos , apart from its many beaches has the marvellous historical architecture of the old town as well as the modern day shops and marina. There are restaurants, one for every day of the year. Inland as you drive passing through the vineyards and citrus orchards, visit Caldas de Monchique and taste the spring waters, before reaching Monchique itself, then on to Foia the highest point in the Algarve. Stop on route at one of the hillside restaurants for lunch.
Budens / Parque da Floresta area
QDM is close to the old village of Budens, which offers a supermarket, several shops, a bakery (a must for fresh rolls) and a few restaurants. Golf:- apart from PDF's magnificent course (though hilly) there is the Boavista resort course (less hilly but just as challenging) 7 kms away. At Lagos, Palmares (a challenge for any handicap). There is also Penina, Alto, Morgado, Pinta, Gramacho. I think you've got the drift, there's another 21!! Sorry by the time that you've read this 22.

The keys are held at Quinta da Encosta Velha reception (24 hours). Maid service once a week, towels and bed linen changed weekly, (extra service if requested at extra charge). Weeks run from 1600 hours on day of arrival to 1000 hours on day of departure. Flexible changeover days.
Conditions
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to holiday start. Payable by personal cheque. A breakage deposit of £100 / 150 euros is required on arrival, refundable on departure (subject to satisfactory inspection). Please use the balcony for smoking.
