About the home
Self-catering holiday accommodation, near the spectacular North Cornish coastline. This self-contained bungalow sleeps 4 people, in two bedrooms, and there is a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. There is a patio area to the front of the bungalow accessed via the patio doors.
4 Hillside is fully equipped to a high standard and includes a microwave, TV, DVD player and Freeview. A cot and a highchair are available free of charge. The beds are made up for your arrival. Electricity is provided via a coin meter. Our Information Pack in the bungalow provides lots of useful information and ideas to help get your holiday off to a perfect start! Whilst reading through the Pack you can enjoy the fresh scones and jam ready to welcome you to Cornwall on your arrival.
A special feature of Penstowe is the Sports and Leisure Club, located at the Manor House. For your enjoyment there are the comfortable bar, restaurant and lounges in the oak-panelled rooms. No charge is made for these facilities or for the Cabaret Suite. There are modest charges for use of the indoor pool and the various sports facitilies, details of which may be obtained from the Manor House when you get there.
Penstowe Sports & Leisure Club offers: 2 restaurants; cabaret suite with dance floor; 3 bars; live nightly entertainment; takeaway; children’s entertainment; children’s club and activities; tennis; squash; badminton; amusements; big screen satellite TV; indoor swimming pool; 3 indoor bowls rinks; 2 heated outdoor pools; pool tables; jacuzzi and sauna; beauty treatments and massage; launderette.

Master Bedroom with double bed, Second Bedroom with twin bunks. Beds are made up for your arrival. Bedding is included and a fresh set of bedding is provided for each week of your stay. Travel cot also available free of charge (no bedding supplied for the cot).
Bathroom contains bath with electric shower over, WC and basin. Towels are not provided.
Kitchen contains Oven, Microwave, Fridge. Please note that tea-towels, dishcloths, etc. are not provided.
TV, DVD & Freeview. A selection of games and DVDs are provided. Highchair also provided free of charge.
Four deck chairs are provided for you to enjoy on the patio.
The bungalow is set in the parkland grounds of Penstowe Manor and the site has been designed to allow safety for children and others on foot. There are car parks within a short walk from the bungalow.

Membership to Penstowe Sports & Leisure Club is optional for guests staying at 4 Hillside and application forms are available from the Manor House.
Care has been taken with landscaping and special areas have been set aside for parking. This feature adds a measure of safety for children at play while allowing easy access to the bungalow. The footpaths are lit at night.
There is a launderette on site which houses coin operated washing machines and dryers.
The West Country / Cornwall region
Bude is internationally famous for surfing, and the area also offers excellent opportunities for golfing, horse riding and fishing. The nearest beach is at Sandymouth, three miles away.
Our bungalow is situated close to the National Trust's South West Coastal Path, and offers access to many spectacular bays, beaches and coves.
The Bude / Kilkhampton area
Kilkhampton village is full of Cornish character and only a few minutes' walk from the bungalow. It has a Post Office, a couple of pubs and two food stores.
There are sandy beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, along the coast. Bude is renowned for surfing and there are surf schools in the town for lessons and the hire of equipment.
Other local sites to visit include Boscastle, Tintagel, Bideford, Clovelly, Newquay and the Eden Project, all within an hour's drive.

Kilkhampton is 6 miles north east of Bude.
Penstowe is easily accessible via the M5 from the Atlantic Highway A361/A39 - or the A30 (Exeter & Okehampton bypass) and Holsworthy.
A car is essential, as public transport is limited in this area.

NO PRICE INCREASES FOR 2012! We have kept our rental rates the same for 2009, 2010, 2011 and now for 2012 - enjoy another inflation-free holiday with us this year!
Short breaks are also available upon request (not in high season). Changeover day is Saturday for weekly lets. Departure by 10am, arrival after 4pm.
Please make enquiries by e-mail. A deposit of £100 per week is payable with your booking, and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure.
