We fell in love with the view! Our bright contemporary beach-house style home has spectacular sea views and a fab location. We are right on the South West coast path and only moments from a sandy surf beach, so ideally located for a beach/surfing, walking or bird-watching holiday.

This stylish property sleeps a maximum 8 adults in 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin /bunk room and is best suited to 1 - 2 families or 2 - 3 couples. A large sea-facing deck in front and sunny private 80 ft garden out the back with tables, seating and loungers and leading to a 5 acre wildlife area - provide plenty of space for outdoor relaxation.

The front garden faces the sea and consists of a large wooden deck, pebbles and grasses. It is west-facing and gets the sun from late morning onwards. There is a 4-seater bench for seating. Being only a short distance from the cliff, the view is spectacular, with amazing sunsets.

The spacious back garden faces South/East (so gets the sun for most of the day) and has views of countryside and the sea. Picnic tables, seating, loungers, a parasol and barbeque are provided. There is a courtyard and patio with hanging space for wetsuits.

NEW THIS SEASON: The gardens lead to 5 acres of farmland now owned by us and maintained as a wildlife area. This has views to the cliff and sea and is a great wildlife and bird watching area - available for your private use.

Please NOTE:

1. The property is designed for 1 - 2 families or 2 - 3 couples. Children are welcome, although

the front garden is not fully enclosed so younger children will need to be supervised whilst outside on the deck. (Part of the back garden is however enclosed).

2. Regret no pets allowed.

3. The cottage is on one level so suitable for those with mobility difficulties, but due to a few steps at the front door and uneven ground in the garden, it is not wheelchair friendly.

The West Country region

North Cornwall's dramatic rocky coastline and sandy surfing beaches provide a perfect holiday setting for families, couples or individuals - all year round. Walking and surfing (our own 2 favourites!) are particularly popular, but almost every other outdoor activity is available not too far away, including golf (5 minutes drive), horse-riding, wind-surfing, fishing, kayaking, rock-climbing and tennis.

Good local food (including Cornish cream teas and delicious Cornish pasties) completes the picture.


Widemouth Bay beach is nearby (2 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Church Races) with summer life guards and surf lessons available. There are several beaches and a sea water swimming pool at Bude as well as many other wonderful beaches further afield. The South West coast path is just metres from the front door.

Other than Widemouth Bay's magnificent beach, it has 2 beach café's, a great local pub with restaurant, garden and sea views; and a local shop selling freshly caught fish, crab and lobster. There is also a restaurant with a growing reputation situated a short walk from the property (2 min. walk along the coast path).

Nearby Bude (approximately 3 miles away) is an attractive Cornish seaside town with a harbour and canal, a few café's/restaurants (one in particular which we highly recommend), some good local produce suppliers (including organic) and 3 major supermarkets. There are several boutiques/clothes stores, a number of good 'serious' surf equipment suppliers and plenty of 'bucket-and-spade' type shops selling inexpensive beach/surf gear. Full postal and banking facilities available.
