Cornwall & Devon are well known as a holiday destinations and Bude is well positionned to give you the opportunity to enjoy both counties.

You can reach Bude by taking the North Devon road at Tiverton from the M5. If you choose this way to reach Bude you will immediately be in the rural heart of Devon. Follow the Atlantic Highway A39 that runs down the North Coast from the market town of Barnstaple with the popular, but more crowded, beaches around North Devon. Drive on down to Bideford and Westward Ho! and on into North Cornwall to Bude and the Beach House.

You may choose to reach Bude by taking the A30 from Exeter to Okehampton and then across country. Whichever way you come the arrival at the coast is always special.

The North Coast is renowned for its rugged beauty with miles of beaches and cliffs to explore. The region offers you variety in landscape and even climate with the South Coast shelter in the far west allowing sub tropical plants to thrive. You can visit the famous Eden Project for a real tropical experience! Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor offer a wonderful contrast to the beach life.

The region is incredibly well set up for a range of activities that cater for the adventurous to those where just sitting and enjoying the scenery is breathtaking enough. Highlights include surfing, coasteering and fun on and many other fun activities both in and on the water.

Eating and drinking is well catered for. The sea offers delicacies that Michelin starred chefs like Michael Caines to household names like Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein through to an abundance of excellent local places all offer the vistor. Time your visit with the Newlyn Fish Festival. Local produce and food markets abound in the region.

Camel Valley Wines is close and along with the beers produced by an ever increasing number of independant breweries you have regional flavours to explore.

Experiences unique to the region are here for you. Plays staged atop the cliff at the Minack theatre, Lost Gardens at Heliggan, Jamica Inn, Beast of Bodmin and proper Cornish Pasties!
