The West Country / Cornwall region
Court Farm is very much part of Marhamchurch village life. It is within a few paces of the Village Inn – The Bullers Arms, Post Office & shop and set amongst the quaint cottages and houses of whitewashed stone which surround the village’s splendid historic church. Within ten minutes you can enjoy a range of activities, 5 Blue Flag beaches, go fishing (sea, lake or canal), play golf, go horse-riding, walk along the beautiful coastal paths, explore the countryside on foot or by bicycle, or visit the local town of Bude.
Bude
The local town of Bude (left) is only 10 minutes away by car, or by foot, from Marhamchurch along the picturesque canal path or from Northcott via the coastal footpath.
Bude offers traditional and contemporary seaside town shopping and entertainment, supermarkets and a wide selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife for your evening’s entertainment.
The towns’ glorious beaches include two blue flag awarded beaches, one with a safe seawater swimming pool. Additionally, there is a golf course, 'Splash' indoor leisure centre and horse riding stables.
Bude / Marhamchurch area
The Tamar Lakes, the source of the river Tamar that divides the two counties of Devon and Cornwall are situated just a few miles inland. The Lower Tamar Lake offers coarse fishing, bird-watching and shoreline walking, while the upper Tamar Lake provides facilities and instruction for a range of water sports including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
North Cornwall
North Cornwall consists of sixty miles of dramatic Atlantic coastline with clean sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages to discover. In land you will find wooded river valleys, bustling market towns and the beguiling beauty of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
Staying at Marhamchurch provides easy access onto the A39 and with 20 minutes you can reach the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, explore King Arthur’s medieval castle at Tintagel. Venture further on to Clovelly or Port Isaac or take your bike along the Camel trail at Wadebridge to Padstow and discover its gastronomic delights.
The renowned Eden Project can be reached within an hours drive as can a choice of three national parks that provide excellent walking and mountain biking.

Further details outdoors: Our biggest draw is our indoor heated swimming pool which is heated to 85°c, so whatever time of year you visit, you’ll always be able to enjoy a warm swim. The pool measures 9.7 meters long and 4.7 meters wide. It has steps leading to the shallow end at just over 1 m which gradually slopes to 1.5 meters at the deep. The pool benefits from a unique system whereby on warm days and with minimum effort the enclosure slides back and becomes in effect an outdoor pool. Security systems are in place for the safety of children and is the pool open from 08:00 – 21:00. We have recently created 3 spacious and dry changing cubicles within the enclosure.
To entertain your toddler we have a selection of swings and slides and are constantly adding to our collection of outside toys, such as trikes, sit n’ rides found in the enclosed play area.
The play houses are full of toys. Rest assured whatever age your children are, there is endless fun to be had at Court Farm. Our grounds provide a safe environment to fun around enjoying all our facilities, even though we are situated in the heart of the peaceful village.
And for older children
If you are planning a holiday with older children the farmhouse has safe access to the children’s outdoor play area with swings, climbing frames, balance beams, monkey bars and ladders. The newly surfaced tennis court is always popular and we provide rackets and spare tennis ball, however the serious tennis players may wish to bring your own equipment. Our indoor games room has a table tennis table and full size pool table. All equipment is free to use, we also keep all the brochures on whats on in the surrounding area and a video and dvd library.
