Boslowen is ideal for a lovely family holiday only 200 yards away from the amazing well known sandy surfing beach of Widemouth Bay, where you can take advantage of the surf school based at the beach, book yourself some lessons on how to ride the waves and have lots of family fun.

For those who don't fancy the surfing experience there are plenty of interesting rock pools. Widemouth Bay also offers cafes, restaurant and pub. There is the gorgeous coastal path nearby which will present you with some fantastic views along the way. Alternatively, countryside walks also take you to the Bude canal along which it is possible to walk into Bude (3 miles). Once there you can explore the shops or have a much deserved drink or bite to eat in one of the cafes or restaurants.

A short way from Boslowen is the Bay Inn, a family run award winning inn which offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Boslowen provides a comfortable holiday home, complete with a lovely large flower bordered garden ideal for those evening barbecues.

Widemouth Bay

Widemouth Bay is a bay and beach on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall, approximately 3 miles south of Bude. Widemouth Bay is home to a wide variety of houses, pubs, cafes and restaurants but at the same time allows you to sit back and relax.

Although Widemouth Bay Beach looks like one huge beach, stretching across almost 1.5 miles, it is actually divided into North and South Beach by a natural barrier of rock. The beach is popular for surfing and swimming, several surfing schools operate on the beach because it has relatively gentle, easy to ride waves. Unusual rock formations on the beach also means that the area is a magnet for climbers. Lifeguard cover is provided from the beginning of May until the end of September.

In the surrounding areas you can discover historic Cornish villages, churches, unspoilt beaches and coves, picturesque harbours and a vast choice of traditional inns. Further afield brings you to Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac. The bustling town of Newquay and the Eden Project are both within an easy drive, and both are well worth a visit.
