Home description
Our 300 year old cob cottage has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 7, and is situated in a quiet village just 15 minutes from the north coast sandy beaches. The cottage is located in the quiet and peaceful village of North Petherwin. The cottage is ideal both for families - with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay, beaches, surfing, pub meals; and for couples, who are looking for a romantic break from the hustle and bustle, having quiet coastal walks or a glass of wine in the cottage garden or in front of the wood burner. For keen golfers there are two golf courses within 5 miles of the doorstep. The detached cottage was the village Post Office many years ago, and boasts beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner and bread oven.
There is a king size sleigh bed in the master bedroom, an iron framed double bed, and bunkbed and single bed in the remaining two double bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has a 2-piece suite, comprising of a new large leather settee and large new leather arm chair, and a rocking chair!
There is a family bathroom and a separate shower room, which has recently been converted into a wet room. The cottage is fully equipped with Freeview Television, DVD player and video recorder.
The Old Post Office Cottage has recently been regraded and has now attained 4 Star Status

Guestbook for The Old Post Office Cottage
Aug 2007 - We have all had a great time staying at the cottage. A fantastic location for a family holiday in Cornwall, loads to do and see in the area. Mr and Mrs G Chesham Bucks.
May 2008 - We had a wonderful time. We recommend it and ould comeback again. A nice and comfortable cottage. Thank you very much. The B family Oxfordshire.
Aug 2008 - We had a great stay despite some torrential rain. Best surfing at Polzeath (boogie boarding). Best food shopwas Tesco. Skinners was favourite beer - Eden. Lanhydrock - National Trust House is definitely worth visiting. Boscastle is lovely with a good cliff top walk. If the rain persists then the museum at Bodmin is good - but I would recommend a full wet suit and keep surfing. R, C and S Manchester, Suffilk and Lincolnshire.
Aug 2008 - Lovely holiday. Weather a complete mixture - wind, rain and sun. Lots to see and do around the area - the cottage has everything you need - kids did not want to go home. B and G - Wickford.
Aug 2008 - We had an enjoyable holiday - weather mixed - despite the rain there are places to visit. Padstow and Bodmin worth a visit. Crooklets Beach, Bude excellent for children, holiday beach huts for hire daily. A lovely cottage. R and R London
