Home description
Wooldown Farmhouse built in 1906, is a substantial self contained wing of our Farmhouse. The upstairs lounge with a bay view window has superb unrivalled panoramic views across the surrounding countryside and to the sea at Bude. Wooldown Farmhouse is ideal for the whole family, there is a large garden, and also just a short walk on the farm is a communal play area with swings and a trampoline (available from Easter until October half term).
Many visitors like to be up early having breakfast on the lawn watching the sunrise, enjoying the peace, hearing nothing but the birds twitter, and in the evening having a barbeque, while the sun sets.
On the ground floor there is a large open plan bay-windowed dining area with a fully fitted kitchen. There is a breakfast bar and a sitting area with a widescreen television (inc Video). There is a bedroom with a bespoke four poster bed along with TV (inc Video combi unit). The washing machine and tumble dryer are contained in a wooden unit/dressing table. Opposite the bedroom is a bathroom which has a WC, and an over-bath shower. A stunning Victorian staircase is centrally located in this part of the house along with a piano.
The first floor has a large sitting room together with electric wood burner effect fire, and widescreen television (inc Video and DVD player). In the afternoon enjoy high tea while looking over the rolling patchwork fields, and sea views, from the panoramic bay view window which is adjoined and offers extra seating. All upstairs bedrooms have sea views, and wash basins. The main bedroom has a king-size Victorian brass four poster bed. There is one double, twin and a single bedroom. The single bedroom leads off from the lounge. The bathroom has a WC, and bath with power shower.
A total of five bedrooms, 2 four posters, 1 double, 1 twin, and 1 single bedroom. Large sitting room on the first floor, kitchen/diner with living area, providing an incredibly spacious accommodation for up to 8 people. There is off road parking for up to 4 cars. Bed linen and heating is included, there are no extra costs
[Wooldown Farmhouse is currently undergoing refurbishment in both bathrooms, the kitchen and decoration of some bedrooms. It will be available from April 08 after work is complete.]
