Old Stables sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Converted from (yes, you’ve guessed it) the Old Stables, this cottage has a lot of interesting features and even its own saddle!
Downstairs the sitting area is arranged around the fireplace with an electric wood burning stove. There is a wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is also a DAB radio CD player with iPod connection. There are views across the countryside and gardens. The cottage has a cosy eating area with views into the courtyard. The newly fitted kitchen area is fully equipped with all that you should need including an oven and grill, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer and dishwasher.
The main bedroom has a half tester king-size bed in a pretty room with glorious views across the rolling countryside. The twin room is cosily decorated with views across the gardens through its’ stone mullion windows……..this room can also accommodate a cot if required.
The bathroom has a jacuzzi style bath with shower over and there is a heated towel rail to keep your towels snug & warm!

The grounds & gardens are shared with all 7 cottages - but there is plenty of space for everyone.
The pool is heated to 27'C and is available from May - October - it is open all day and shared by everyone.
The West Country / Cornwall region
We are only 10 minutes drive from the sweeping Atlantic coastline with its lovely sandy beaches yet in the middle of the rolling Devon countryside, well away from the crowds. Located on the National Cycle network Route No 3, it couldn’t be easier to hop on your bike and go!
The Bude / Bridgerule area
Glebe House Cottages are situated at the top of the hill overlooking the village of Bridgerule. The village is a small working rural village with a Post Office and stores, a pub, The Bridge Inn, which offers a Quiz Night every Sunday. There is a 12th century Church, St Bridgets which is certainly worth a visit. Part of the historic Bude canal can also be accessed from the village.

New and improved roads have considerably reduced the travelling time to the West Country. The fastest route is via the M5 to Exeter, then the A30 (signposted Okehampton) until the junction with the A3079 to Holsworthy, which joins the A3072 after Halwill Junction.
If travelling on the A3072 from Holsworthy towards Bude, take the first turning on the left after the golf course. This turning is signposted 'Bridgerule three miles'. Continue on this road to a T-junction in the village, turn left and Glebe House is on the right at the crest of the hill.
If travelling down the A39 towards Bude from the direction of Bideford, turn left in Stratton on to the A3072 signposted to Holsworthy. At The Red Post Restaurant turn right on to the B3254 towards Launceston. After one and a half miles turn left signposted Bridgerule. Turn left at T-junction and pass straight through the village. Glebe House is on the right at the crest of the hill.
