Widemouth Bay makes an ideal holiday location for all the family, being one of the easiest accessible beaches in North Cornwall. With its one mile of golden sands backed by low cliffs and grassy fields Widemouth offers a variety of seaside activities. Swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, sunbathing, hunting for marine life in the rock pools or walking the spectacular coastal paths.
Baywater gives comfortable and relaxing accommodation for up to 10 people with 1 double bedroom with en-suite, 1 double room with King size bed, 1 family room with 1 double and 1 single bed and a triple bedroom with 3 single beds , family bathroom and separate cloakroom with WC. The property has delightful countryside views and glimpses of the sea, from the front and a peaceful and secluded South facing back garden. A large airy summer house with 6 x 3 pool table means you can have your own little pub in the back garden!
The local shop for bread, fresh fish, newspapers, pasties, fish and chips etc is less than a 10 minute walk away. The Bay View Pub just a couple of minutes further where you can enjoy a fine meal or drink overlooking the Bay. Bude is a 4 mile drive along the stunning coastal road where you can find several of the big supermarkets, many pubs, restaurants, banks etc.

Baywater has a relaxing holiday feel with its open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge. ideal for family get togethers, safe and quiet for small children and offers excellent access to all areas for anyone with mobility problems.
The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer and has beautiful views across the countryside. The dining room/ lounge has double french doors that lead on the the decked area, patio and lawn.

Baywater is approached by a single track lane and there is off road parking for at least 4 cars. There is access either side to the South Facing back garden, which is laid mainly to lawn but has extensive decked areas providing a peaceful and secluded place to sit and enjoy the relaxing sea air, have a bbq and a sundowner or two!

The property can be reserved with a 25% deposit and the balance is due six weeks before arrival.
Payment can be made directly into the owners bank account.

Conditions

Pets welcome at owners discretion at 25.00 pounds per week per dog or cat.

The Bude / Widemouth Bay area

Widemouth Bay just 3 miles South of Bude is an idyllic location for a proper traditional family holiday. The beach is vast and sandy but has fantastic rock formations either end for the children to explore. The beach is fully lifeguarded all summer and has some of the best surf in the area.
There is a superb local shop for all your daily needs. Fresh fish counter, freshly made pasties, fish and chips, Clotted cream etc. The local pub, The Bayview Inn has won many an acolade and has stunning views of the bay whilst you sip on a pint of scrumpy!
Bude is a wonderful seaside town with 3 large supermarkets, Sainsburys, Morrisons and Co-op. Many restaurants and pubs, banks, a golf course, riding stables and 2 great beaches, Summerleaze and Crooklets.
This stretch of coastline is steeped in the smuggling history of times before and not far south of Widemouth Bay you can find some amazing little inlets and coves.

“Flexible, well appointed house, easy walk to beach” We appreciated the 4 bedrooms and open plan living area which made accommodating extended family easy, The pool table was well used and the patio was great for sitting out. It was an easy walk to beach, coastal path and didn't have the crowds of Bude. The house was simply furnished with all one needed for a comfortable holiday. We would recommend this place and would consider returning at some time in the future.

“Beautiful location, excellent value for money.” Widemouth Bay is a beautiful place to spend your holidays. The everyone had great fun on the beach attempting to surf and the dogs loved the long walks. The bungalow was excellent value as it housed 2 families quite comfortably. The teenagers especially liked the garden room with the pool table. The owner was very friendly, lovely to deal with and returned the security deposit the same day. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this bungalow to anyone.

“Stay Away” Of the 10 sleeping spaces we found 1 double mattress, 1 king-sized mattress and 1 single mattress that although we could still feel the springs were the best of those provided. This was after trial and error and dragging mattresses in and out of rooms. The others were so bad you could feel every spring and were not fit to sleep on. The bedding was old and bobbled and 1 sheet had stains all over it. One bedroom was a converted garage that was damp and smelling.
