Ivy Barn is a lovely detached cottage ,part of the Helscott Barn complex it is set away from the others with a large garden with amazing views over the countryside to the sea.The stable door opens into the living room with galleried twin bedroom, a pretty twinkling chandelier casts a gentle glow overhead.The living room has a large leather corner sofa and antique french long case clock and wide screen TV,stairs lead up to the gallery with a small double bed and a single, ideal for both family and friends.The master bedroom is off the living room with a hand made teak 4 poster bed and en suite shower room, the family bathroom with huge corner bath is also on the ground floor.The separate kitchen has all the mod cons you would expect, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, there is also a BBQ on the patio, a window overlooks the view.The cottage is all on one level downstairs and suitable for holiday or business use all year round. No booking fees

"very friendly, warm welcome."

"Eceptional five star barn."

It was our first stay at the barn and we stayed for 7 nights. The owners were fantastic hosts, with a great welcome and milk and juice ready on arrival. The barn has a great layout with enough space for me, my husband and daughter. The barn is situated in a perfect setting with widemouth bay a very short drive away. Also the friendly town of Bude with its great variety of shops and a lovely beach literally on your doorstep. Will definitely be staying again!!!

"Fantastic, friendly, quiet, comfortable barn."

This was our second visit to this barn, third to the site. It is set in a peaceful spot very close to the wonderful widemouth bay beach and the friendly town of Bude. The barns are always very clean on arrival with milk and wine chilling in the fridge. The finish is high quality within the kitchen and bathroom. Having the ensuite attached to the main bedroom is a great addition with a handy second bathroom off the main seating area. It is very quiet at night with no noise or light pollution. Within a short distance are some very fine restaurants, suitable for all pockets. The owners, Yvonne and John, are the ultimate hosts, leaving you to relax but always availiable to help with any query. Would love to keep it to ourselves but it really is a wonderful place to holiday.
