'The Tiddy House' is a really pretty detached cottage on Yeomadon Farm near Pyworthy village, 8 miles from the beaches at Bude, North Cornwall. Holsworthy is 3 miles and has a leisure centre with swimming pool; also a golf course. The Eden Project is just over 1 hour away. Plenty of other attractions nearby including National Trust properties and gardens; Dartmoor and the coastal path for walking; Roadford Reservoir for water sports; Clovelly; Dartington Crystal where you can see glass being blown. A barn conversion (converted during 2002) on a 130 acres dairy farm on the beautiful Devon/Cornwall border. The cottage has been converted to a high standard with original oak beams and gallery bedroom, with a traditional feel but with modern facilities such as oil fired central heating. The cottage has its own private garden (garden furniture) and parking area. Visitors are welcome to watch milking and other farm activities as well as walk around the farm's fields, lakes & woodland. There are 4 fishing lakes on the farm with carp up to 20lbs and also tench, roach, bream and crucian carp. All fishing is included in the price. Free use of the farm's grass tennis court. Linen inclusive. Central heating and electric inclusive. Adjacent off the road parking. 2 dogs welcome (please do not leave dogs unattended in cottage). Free excellent coarse fishing on the farm's 4 coarse fishing lakes.

Enjoy walks on this traditional working farm, set amidst beautiful countryside. Walk along the farm's paths and continue along paths through the farm's woods (seats and picnic benches). Stroll down to the farm's four lakes, which are a mere field distance from the holiday cottages. Try a bit of fishing (free) or take a lakeside picnic. You are welcome to take your dog down to the lakes with you and on your farm walks. Various wildlife are attracted to the lakes and woods and keen naturalists may be lucky enough to spot and identify different species of birds and other animals. Examples of the wildlife that can be seen on the farm are deer, foxes, badgers, woodpeckers and kingfishers. There is free use of the farm's full size grass tennis court in the summer months.
Nearby Pyworthy village has a lovely old village pub with a restaurant extension, excellent food. Holsworthy, a few miles away has pubs, cafes, shops, a large Park with childrens swings, etc, and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, also a town museum worth a visit. A pannier market in Holsworthy square every wednesday. Also a cycle path. The Tamar Lakes (one a nature reserve and one for coarse fishing, watersports,, walking, childrens climbing/swings etc, restaurant) at Bradworthy is about 10 miles. Nearby Bude beach resort has huge classic sandy beaches (renowned for surfing) and a massive free open air swimming pool on the main beach. Rowing up Bude Canal (boat hire), Bird Nature Reserve and many other attractions. Bude is often known as a quieter alternative to busier Newquay further down the coast.
