Home description

Thatchways ia a fabulous thatched cottage full of charm and character. It sits high above the village of Crackington Haven and has the most spectacular views out to sea. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach it is perfect for a family holiday.

The property is perfect for those who want to escape and rediscover a good old fashioned beach holiday. Inside there are 5 bedrooms and so it can easily accommodate 10 people. However, because of its character and charm it feels comfortable for just a couple if you don;t want to go away in a big group. There is a pretty garden with outside furniture and also free use of a tennis court just down the road.

From the garden there are views of the beach and out to sea and it is the perfect spot to watch the sun setting.
The house itself is very well equipped and is full of loved items typical of a seaside retreat making it a very special property. There is an open fire in the sitting room and a range cooker in the kitchen. There is no TV at the property but it does have Internet access.

The property is situated in a lovely position within National Trust land. The coast path runs past the door and there is a network of footpaths to discover.


Bude / Crackington Haven area

Crackington Haven is a delightful cove with a fabulous beach which is great for surfing. There is a pub and a cafe in the village where you can get a great cappuccino and a lovely fresh crab sandwich.

The views of the local area are spectacular and the scenic beach views are unrivalled.
