Listen to live musicians playing the romantic music of Hungary, but be careful, you may fall in love and never want to leave. If you prefer to party, Budapest has it all: from Spa Parties to the famous Ruin Pubs (temporary bars and clubs that spring up over the city in the summer.) The Central Hungary region

The fifth district is the centre of Budapest. Restaurants, theatres, clubs, spas, all with that special Hungarian welcome. There is something for everyone, from the Opera and museums through to the amazing tree lined Andrassy Avenue shopping street with its designer shops. Take a trip on one of the many sightseeing buses, including an amphibious coach that takes to the Danube, walk across the famous Chain Bridge (Designed by William Clarke, an Englishman) to try the funicular, (Uphill railway) to see one of the most stunning views in the world. Stroll along Andrassy Avenue and take a break as you enter the park behind Heroes Square. Boating in summer, skating in winter and fun at any time.

Events spring up everywhere in Budapest, in the squares and on the streets events are organised to celebrate all aspects of Hungarian culture from wine festivals through to rock concerts, Budapest constantly provides new surprises and best of all many of these events are free. After all the excitement relax and enjoy a break with coffee and cake in some of the most fantastic coffee houses in Europe!! Alternatively rejuvenate in the spas and baths which are spread throughout the city. Come home feeling renewed and reinvigorated and ready to visit Budapest again.

Budapest is in the centre of Hungary and makes a great base for exploring some of the other sites of the country. The largest natural lake in Europe is only a two hour train ride away. Lake Balaton is a favourite holiday spot for Hungarians and has a great seaside holiday feel in many of the towns around the lake. Take a day trip to Siofok, which is a popular tourist spot and only takes two hours on to get there by train. Alternatively the natural thermal springs of Hévíz, the largest thermal lake in the world!

Weather: It seems that people are surprised when they find that temperatures in Hungary regularly reach in excess of 30 degrees in the Summer months. The Hungarian summer is full of fun and sports, swimming is important here and there are many fantastic water parks. Relaxing in the cafes and restaurants and engaging in people watching is a favorite pass time. There really are four distinct seasons here, spring is a great time to visit with temperatures gently increasing and the greenery of the city coming into bloom. Summer is warm, inviting and relaxing. Autumn sees the colour of the city constantly changing and the patio heaters and blankets appearing for those determined to enjoy their coffee outside. In winter the fun continues though you need warm clothes, skating at Heroes Square in the largest skating rink in Europe (12,000 m2). And the warm inviting glow of the restaurant lights with the sound of live music and people enjoying the warmth of the welcome and the food. Budapest really is a city for all seasons!!!!
