The Central Hungary/Danube region

There are 3 main central districts in Budapest, 5th, 6th, 7th, of those the 6th district is the one you would describe in one word as "downtown". Very much the centre for the life and heartbeat of the city. Regardless of the reason for your visit or your interests in which sights, museums, and activities to do while in Budapest the 6th district is somewhere you will spend a lot of time.

Centered around Andrassy ut, there are theatres, galleries, museums and the opera house. Cafes, restaurants, bars and night clubs. Access to all areas of the city is very easy, either on foot or M1, the oldest continental metro line in Europe.

"A lovely place to stay"

A family of 4, we spent 5 nights at Patys place.
First the apartment is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Its modern and spacious. Everything in it is brand new. Very clean and comfortable.
We cooked a few meals there -- the kitchen is fully equipt - fridge, efficient microwave oven, hobs, lots of utensils ,.
Really useful was the very quiet washing machine which is also a dryer, so we always had clean clothes.
The weather was hot while we were there and the apartment has air conditioners, so we were very comfortable despite the heat. .
The location is in a quiet street near the opera building. We felt very safe and secure even when we walked there very late at night.
Just 3 minutes walk at the end of the street theres a supermarket and bakery and a friendly wine bar (very quiet) and other shops
. -The apartment is centrally located - we walked to all the sites I was surprised how close everything was .
Andy was waiting for us when we arrived even though it was late. He was very welcoming and answered all our questions. A very nice guy. I only have positive things to say about this apartment. My teenage daughters loved it, and I would recommend it to everyone.

"Andy is a great host and the apartment is recently renovated and has everything you neeed"

The apartment is in a great location close to the Opera House. Having been recently refurbished everything was new and all that was advertised was available. On our first day we locked the key in the apartment and Andy was great about meeting us and getting back us back into the apt without disrupting any of our sight seeing. He is a first class host. Having not lived in an apt for years I had forgotten how the noise travels from one apt to another and took some getting use to. Our stay was great and overall I would rate the apt the same.
