Budapest / District 5 area
Budapest is the Hungarian Capital and it is called the “Paris of Eastern Europe” for its elegant streets and the liberty style buildings. Danube flows north to south dividing Budapest in Buda, with the Castle district, and Pest, with the City, the nightlife and all you can expect from a European Top Capital, which is also an excellent “all year round” destination. Váci Street, Vörösmarty Square, Chains Bridge, Andrassy boulevard, Liszt Ferenc Square, Varosliget Park, Széchenyi Baths, Szabadság square are just few of many other pearls in Bp, easily reachable with an efficient system of public transports as trams, buses, trolley buses and 3 lines of metro [one of them, totally restored, (The Millennium) is the oldest in the Continent and it was built after the first line of London]. The green earth of Bp is Margit Island in the middle of the Danube, enjoyable for walking in the wood, 5 km of jogging lane, thermal pools open from April till September, tennis courts, sport centre and many events. A visit to the Parliament (the biggest in Europe), to Heroes Square and to a huge quantity of museums will make your holiday as a really unforgettable one. Many sites are listed as Unesco World Heritage.
How to get there
The Ferihegy Airport (Terminal 1 or 2A and 2B) is connected with the most important European towns, New York, Toronto, Beijing and Middle East. Approximately is 25 km far from the city centre, airport minibus and taxi service available door-to-door (ask to the owner for suggestions and prices).
