The apartment is very centrally located. It is fully self-catering, and has been newly renovated. It is in an ideal location for a getaway to this historic European capital. The apartment is split-level, downstairs comprising a small hall, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. There is a spiral staircase taking you up to an office area and the bedroom. The apartment comfortalbly sleeps 4 people, including, as it does, a sofabed downstairs. It is clean and all the furniture and furnishings are new. There is a supermarket, Rothchild's, less than 5 minutes away in the direction of Arany Janos and the two main metro lines are each no more than 5 minutes away.

The Central Hungary/Danube region

The Region contains a multitude of historical locations to visit.. The weather is very pleasant and generally the atmosphere is extremely relaxed. Take a train (1 1/2 hours) to Esztergom on the Danube and bordering Slovakia or visit the wine region (30 kms North East) or one of the many interesting towns on the Danube. Go horse riding (there is a large choice of stables within 30 and 50 kms of the city). Or if you are feeling a little more adventurous take a trip to Lake Balaton, southwest of the city and choose from the wide variety of water sports, walks and many other distractions in the area.

Budapest / District 5 area

Budapest itself is an enchanting city. You are within a stones throw of a myriad of historic buildings from the towering Buda castle, the Citidal and Fisherman's Bastion (20 minutes on foot across Chain Bridge) to the myriad of stunning buildings in Szabadsag Ter around the corner, to the National Opera house (12 minutes) and St. Matias's Bascilica. Rent a bike in Podmaninsky utca to see the city if your legs give in! But if you get tired the Danube is one street away and from there you can choose from a variety of trips taking you as far even as Vienna.

The food is excuisitve, the people are very unrushed and pleasant and at sunst the city is a photographer's dream with opportunities for some stunning photographs. In the evening take in a show or just wander around the many inviting districts with their many coffee houses and restaurants. Plenty to see and do in a very relaxing way.
